@@SMFN_Else you need to practice laughing...if you do it enough you'll create muscle memory & one day again you'll laugh. You need lots & lots of practice. ..Maybe you'll learn to compartmentalize those unsavory feelings, creating a peptic ulcer & lose 50 lbs because your stomach won't tolerate food... or not.
@@brrjohnson8131 Oh I laugh. I laugh lots. I laughed at this video. I love those dancin little birbs. But laughing at dancing birbs doesn't drag me out of bed in the morning, no siree!! I got my own numerous collection of unhealthy coping mechanisms, I been doing this shit my whole life! I got this...til I don't!
Boss: "Why are you late for work again!? And it better not be because 'The woodcocks are crossing the street again' or you're fired!" Me: **Gulps, sweats nervously watching the woodcocks shimmy majestically across road in front of car**
Kinda makes you wonder, if they were raised by parents different than woodcocks. Would they still be bop? Is it just something that they learn it from the mom n dad?
5:00 am and can’t sleep from severe pain from domestic violence and healing from two more spine surgeries and having a weepy long night but those adorable birds made me smile ! Thank you I am so happy I clicked on it. Hugs to all
@@YosemiteLee thank you so much and I’m so very sorry you experienced such violence. It’s heartbreaking. I’ve had 3 spine surgeries in the last 3 years. Two traumatic brain injuries. Head to foot injuries and permanent including partially paralyzed vocal cords from being strangled twice June 21,2018. He got away with attempted murder sadly and didn’t just 5 months in jail out of a 9 month sentence. Awful DA to charge so lightly . But just recently saw he’s doing Tik tok videos because he’s a relationship expert and marriage too ! 🤦♀️😱🤢🤮🤬Self proclaimed pastor who uses Jesus and quoting bible scripture to draw people in to adore him. Sad because he is so violent. Was a licensed counselor! Odie Anderson Samaritan Coaching. Beat strangled raped and more his own wife and while he’s being adored I’m suffering in pain. It’s not fair. My kids told me he harmed them too but they were afraid to tell me . Life is precious and I know I’m blessed to be alive and I enjoy the simplest things like this video. I find it challenging to deal with the amount of pain because the neurosurgeon and neurologist said it’s all permanent and I have to learn how to deal with the pain the rest of my life but that’s easier said than done. One thing I use as a distraction is cute videos and pray a lot. I enjoy listening to the birds singing and watching them splash and drink from the bird bath in my yard. I haven’t posted in a while but I tried to put more happy videos in hopes that victims can see if I made it that they can too but sometimes I think maybe showing the reality is better like you’ll have good days and bad days if good moments and bad. Recently I’ve felt tired vulnerable to post but I have so many video on my cell. I just need to muster up the courage to start posting again. One thing that drives me crazy is when people say You don’t look like a victim of domestic violence. What does that look like though ? A victim shouldn’t have to be covered in blood. Brain injuries are hidden but real. My clothes cover my abdominal and back scars but they are real. PTSD is not seen but real. Kindness is free and I wish more people were like you. Thank you. Maybe if you click the P it might take you to some of my videos I made to bring awareness for Partial Strangulation. I never heard of it until I was diagnosed 5 1/2 years ago. Gods blessings
We are holding you in our hearts, praying for your safety and recovery, I'm also dealing with 5 yr old injuries and the rebuilding part. Sending you love and hugs
@@highpeacetess you are very sweet and I will pray for your healing and restoration physically, mentally and financially. May God Bless You Richly And Exceed All Of Your Needs Abundantly
Pigeons actually keep their head still! They move so fast that they have what looks like that bobbing motion, but in actuality, they stick their head out first, and then the body follows!
Many birds will keep their head in one position then quickly snap it to the next, keep it there until they have to move it to the next position. I believe the reason they do this has to do with their visual processing.
@@quantumview8151It's because they can't move their eyes! Humans have muscles in our eye sockets to stabilize over vision, but birds use their necks instead.
The title does not do this video justice! This might be my favorite animal video ever! I was so surprised by the "meep" during the "tequila" part of the song that I screamed out laughing which opened a dam of tears from the stress I've been holding in. Seriously, you're amazing for posting this ❤️!
I used to think that the bobbing might be an evolutionary thing that mimics the moving of grass and foliage, similar to how leaf insects move like rustling leaves to further camouflage themselves from predators. After seeing the clip of the one standing still until the other bobbed up next to it, though, perhaps it's a social thing. Like a mating dance, but not exclusive to that context. Offspring obviously learn it from their parents, and all the videos of them bobbing seem to feature more than one at a time, particularly in pairs. Maybe they choose mates based on how they bob, whether their rhythms are in tune. Truly a fascinating species. Love these groovy lil dudes.
This is cracking me up - now if we can get someone to sing the hokey-pokey lyrics with it...Put your whole self in, take your whole self out. Put your whole self in, and you shake it all a-bout..
Oh my goodness THANK YOU☺️ this video made me smile & giggle for the FULL 2 minutes !! I LOVE watching birds🐦🕊️ whether it's in real life or on the internet. ESPECIALLY little birds🐦 🕊️ They are just so amazing !! Thank you again !! I hope you have a wonderfully happy 😁 & delightful day !!
I just want you to know that I have shown this to everyone in my family and at work and they always have a delighted smile and laugh and love it. Your video and these silly birds bring so much joy ❤️ Edit: Half my ICU where I work now demonstrates The Hokumpoke Walk whenever they see me because they all loved the video so much 😂
European Woodcock are migratory and fly from Siberia to the West of Ireland. They have a pin feather at the first joint in each wing which was frequently used by some of histories most famous artists. When they take off they empty their bowels completely to make them lighter for flight. Unusually they can carry their youn while flying. They have binocular vision for about 20 degrees in front and 11 degrees behind. The European woodcock looks longer than its American cousin, an altogether fascinating bird.
lying in bed after a day of crappy pregnancy sickness… didn’t hesitate to click when i saw woodcocks in my feed and am i glad i did. i love them and they make me smile
That looks like a typical rural Ohio road, but in my 74 years as an Ohio resident I have never seen this darling bird here. I will have to watch and listen more closely as it is said that they do live here.
i dont live there but, have seen them several times! keep an eye on open grassy areas just before dusk in the mild seasons, the birds do their mating 'peent' calls while standing there, then take off with a whir and circle overhead before landing again and continuing
THANK YOU FOR THIS...as an old brokedown PTSD-riddled military veteran, sometimes it's difficult for me to laugh. THIS made me laugh, & I really appreciate the posting. Thanks again, & God bless.
What a great idea you had pairing the Tequila music with these birds. Looks like they were made for each other. It certainly has made many people laugh 😂 Thank You! 🙏😍
Made me smile 😊 I’ve been watching the apocalypse unfold for an hour. Made me sad. But this is sheer delight, thank you. God bless you and the woodcocks ❤️❤️❤️
Just stop reading the news. Has it ever helped you? If anything truly important happens that affects your own life, the news will reach you another way
There is no such thing as a "creator". The creators of these birds were their parent birds. The idea of a creator was created by uneducated, pre-historic humans.
May be our ALMIGHTY LORD THE CREATOR OF all things wants us to wonder in his creations to know him well and to fulfill our purpose and mission in life by being good to ourselves and being good to others and being good to him by worshiping him as he want and to thank him first of all HE IS THE ONE CREATED us from nothing and giving us all we have, and created the universe with all what is in it for us and for our benefit.
The traditional ultimate explanation for this bit of wackiness is that it's a foraging behaviour: coaxing worms and other invertebrates up to the surface. At least as likely is that it's a form of honest signalling to potential predators: an ostentatious "I see you, don't even bother trying".
They are super fun. During spring in some places you can go on "woodcock watches" where you sneak up on the males doing their courtship display. (The "peent" is a part of it) It's really cool to see. They "peent" in a circle, then fly up really high, and then spiral down while their feathers make a twittering sound. Highly recommend if you enjoy these little dudes
That is wild. I never knew they did that. Thanks for the video. The song is perfect too. I especially like how the first birdy caught the beat as the second bird was approaching then both just danced across the street. Cheers!
Thank you SO much for making this !! 🤗 I have depressed for days ! This made me smile 😁 ..now i want a baby woodcock, what an adorable dancing ball of fluff ❤ ..and the 'squeekawk' where 'tequilla' usually is😂 perfect editing
Ok I seriously need to find a way to have my ringneck bird to spend a couple of days with these birds in real life because he likes to copy other birds and this would he sooooo hilarious to see him randomly walking like this 🤣
The American woodcock (Scolopax minor), sometimes colloquially referred to as the timberdoodle, mudbat, bogsucker, night partridge, or Labrador twister is a small shorebird species found primarily in the eastern half of North America. Woodcocks spend most of their time on the ground in brushy, young-forest habitats, where the birds' brown, black, and gray plumage provides excellent camouflage.
😂😂 So CUTE! My friend sent video to me to watch. I was in doctor's office watching and I laughed so hard. Those birds danced so cute to the music. It made my day! 😊
Yes they are🤗🤗P.S. oh, how I wish people would finally stop hunting them! I'm beside myself with outrage that most bipeds* still view these cuties as targets for shooting, and they won't have enough defenders😬😬😬😬😬 (*though birds are also bipedal)
