I’m so so sorry your dad had to go through with all that and same for your family and you. We all can see where you get your strong heart from. ❤️ R.I.P. to your Papa(Grandfather) as well. My dad left my family in April 2014. I texted him today Happy Father’s Day and that I love him and he texted back he loves and misses me and the family. He’s done some wrong things but he’s my dad.

I started crying when you explained what happened but when you said he got his dream car and he was cancer free it put a smile on my face 😭 😊

Whoever disliked was crying to much there vision went blurry and they accidentally pressed it

This brought me to tears😭 my dad was diagnosed with high blood pressure, diabetes, and asthma all at once. We are in and out of the E.R. seeing u share your story makes me realize that we have to spend every moment with those we love. I hope you're all doing well and none of you guys have to go through things like this! To Tori's family, I hope u guys are full of great health and happiness!💞

Going through this stuff is so hard , I understand, and i started crying when u cried but just know that you are strong and amazing and can get through anything if you put your mind to it. Watching this video made me cry..... I know everyone will obviously not understand how much of an impact that man makes on your life. I do know this from getting to know him for only a short amount of time he made one of the biggest impacts on my life... And for that I am forever grateful.

i could relate to this on so many levels my dad had cancer as well, my parents hid that from me for about 3 months... and when i finally found out about it i started crying so bad. my dad also said something like “if something ever happens to me just remember i’ll be caring for you in heaven” i didn’t cry in that moment but now thinking about it makes me cry. anyways fast forward to now he’s cancer free !💙🥺 thank god✊🏼

I’ve done that same thing before where you say, “something like that would never happen to me”. My uncle had heart problems and I immediately thought “he won’t die, the doctors will handle it”. Two weeks later he died of a heart attack. The worst thing that has happened in my life so far. Don’t take things for granted ❤️

This made me tear up. Bless your mom for having to deal with all that. I couldn’t even imagine. But you are so strong and I’m so glad your dad is doing good ❤️

My dad was diagnosed last year with cancer when he was diagnosed they found a mass in his kidney that was spreading, he had to wait 3 months for surgery, he had his surgery about 1 year ago. A couple weeks ago he went backs to the doctor for a checkup with his cancer doctor they found 4 more cysts/masses near his heart. I live 648 miles from my hometown in Indiana which is where my dad lives because of work and I live in Florida(we see him about once a month, my parents are married.. you will get through it, just believe and keep doing what your doing!❤️💜💙

this video literally hit so hard for me. my dad had/still has thyroid cancer. they removed his thyroid, but there are still spots in his lungs that they can’t remove. I am sorry your family had to go through so much :(

I pretty much ran across this video by accident today. I'm truly sorry for all the troubles you and your family have had to go through. Life can be extremely difficult. I'm also truly glad to hear, that he is recovering, and that things seem to be going well. Of the many things that struck me, when I watched this, one thing stuck out for me. It's something I've attempted to share with the younger generations, but, as is usually the case, they don't believe older folks, such as myself. And that is where your honesty shone through. I believe this is an incredibly important message, not only to share, but to carry. All Adults, were kids once. Sure, this sounds like a stupid statement, yet, it's not. Every generation, for whatever reasons, believe THEY are their "own youth". In other words, no one can "understand them", because THEY are not kids, going through what THEY are. So, in this? You are not alone. However, your honesty in sharing this, is refreshing, courageous, heartfelt, and extremely rare-- UNLESS a person, has received the scare of their lives, as you and your family have- This will open the majority of eyes and hearts, as they go in search of answers, to the very things they finally understand, they have no control over, whatsoever. All I'm saying, is this: NEVER lose this message. Sadly, some of your generation, upon hearing what you have to say, will have to way to relate, never having been through something such as this. They may even be cruel to you. I pray not, but it may happen. Steady yourself for that part- because, one day? Those very same people will REMEMBER your words, when they have THEIR TIME, in search of answers, they can't find- and it may just help save them. This is who we are, as Americans. Some say that it's "diversity" that is our "strength". It is not. UNITY is our strength. When it all gets down to what REALLY matters, UNITY will save us. Diversity is just a thing that happens, when people are FREE. So, no matter WHO the people are, of your generation, I believe your honest message, is one that can make a serious difference. The one's that will accept your message? No need to talk about them, they are already in a good place. This is all I have to say about this. The rest? Totally up to you. If you do it, how you do it, when to do it, on and on. The very fact that you had the strength to share that in this video, means you can do it, and do it well. My son went missing, July 6th, 2018. They found his body on July 12th. I fully understand what you've been through. It will have been a year, soon. I will remember my son, for who he was. Not the day he left this earth. He had a strength in him, as well, however, his was in another area. He had difficulty, seeing what you've seen here. This is one of your strengths. One of many, I'm sure. This is why I posted here. I hope you don't mind some words, from someone who understands the hectic insanity, that accompanies the difficulties that come, when those we care the most about, are in trouble. Never do we learn about "powerlessness", as we do during these tough times. I pray your Dad makes a full recovery, and that he has many years left to go. I've no doubt he will, since he is 1/2 of, where all your strength comes from. Good luck, and God Bless.

No ones is ever perfect or no family but maintaining love of family and being there for them is the most important thing. I bet he's proud of you. Thank you for expressing such a wonder view of your experiences with your father. I feel bad for so many children in America who grow up in single parents families with no father in theirs life especially for girls. Its the first man in their life and their experiences with him helps them to understand the importance of finding that right man who will love and care for them and be a great role model for your own children.

aww tori this breaks my heart my grandpa and grandma both passed away less than a year ago my mom had pancreatitis so she had to go to a hospital 2 hours away from home so before my grandparents died they were with my mom taking care of her in the hospital so my dad is taking care of us after 2 days of my mom in the hospital my dad was going to go with my mom so my grandparents could take care of us because we were going to go back to school my mom was on the second floor and it was the night my grandma was heading towards the elevator to put stuff in the car to head home the next day to take care of me and my siblings in her way to the elevator she collapsed all the doctors on the second floor that saw it ran towards her and one went to go get my grandpa and tell my mom my grandpa went to go see and they were already rushing her to the er which is one level down becusee they were already in a hospital she was unconscious they went into immediate surgery in her head and her heart to see what was wrong she never woke up and passed up 1 hour later my grandpa was there for everything he saw her die and go into surgery keep in mind my grandpa was 70 years old and was already in sm stress from my mom being in the hospital she died at about 11-12 at night the next day I called my grandma not knowing she passed away checking in my mom the phone was answered but no one was talking my grandpa wanted to tell my older brother first so he could tell me at about 11 am my brother was at breakfast with a friend and his 3 daughter and he gets a call from my grandpa barley being able to talk my brother knowing my mom in the hospital automatically assumed something horrible happened to my mom but eventually my grandpa was able to tell him my grandma passed away my brother came home balling his eyes out and when my dad saw him he had no idea what happened he told him my grandma passed away all of us confused because she had amazing health nothing wrong so we drove 2 hours to the hospital to be with my grandpa and my mom so 4 months later my grandpa was in the shower and fell and hit his head causing him to have a stroke and not being able to get up so my uncle had to call an ambulance he was in the hospital for about 3 nights 4 days before he passed away he wanted us by his side the whole time he was in the hospital when he wanted to talk to us he was crying so much he couldn’t it broke my heart everything happens so unexpectedly
