Wow friends, we all waste a lot of space remembering extraneous stuff. What's the most useless room in your mind palace? While you think about that, please peruse our truly perfect Patreon: www.patreon.com/chrisandjack
I have this one closet to remember third grade outfits and I really just need to clean it out. There’s bugs in there and everything’s dusty. None of them are even important.
There's this one room that's just a giant safe with all my passwords in it so that I could keep them protected from mind-readers but once I accidentally left my safe password inside the safe and I was too embarrassed to call the safe installers so I just changed all my passwords to the number to the safe installers which is printed on the back of the safe, only to realize that was the password to my safe in the first place, but when I opened the safe I realized I left some food in there the last time and it got expired and smelly and moldy so I just closed the safe before I could get the passwords to change it back, so now I just hope none of the websites I use get their data leaked or I'm screwed.
expected the interrogator to then hop out of the jail (which is his mind palace) to pass that information on to yet another person on a higher level of nested mind palaces
Damnit I literally came to comment this 😂 I’ll just report your comment as cyber bullying and get it removed then post it so mine will get far more attention so when you get back you won’t be nearly high enough on the featured or newly added to take from my likes and replies!! Eh nvm that would take too long and I’ve already lost interest.
@@finna2160 I've been wondering about that. There are a lot of characters he could fit: Agent Sparxx of In English Please, Agent 17 of Save the Watermelon/Mind Wipe, the chief in One More Thing or maybe the one guy in Moments Between the Montage. He's credited as "detective" in the description, so that leads me to believe he can't be one of the Agents. I'm betting One More Thing at the moment, but I reckon you could come up with multiple narratives
video uploaded 6 minutes ago instead of 6 years ago, this is a once in a lifetime chance for me to make the perfect comment....i just forgot what it was. I stored it somewhere.
You actually did make the perfect comment, but I did go back in time and left that comment on a video that came out years ago. It was a really good comment, got a lot of praise but I did add Jar Jar Binks so it’s kinda my own now.
I'd love a 52 minute cut of this video where its just the detective's perspective watching this man silently sit with his eyes closed with random awakenings to ask for menial information.
20 minutes pass without a single word being uttered by either of the men. The detective is getting inpatient. Suddenly, the prisoner opens his eyes and speaks up: "The moon controls the tides, right? Like, I could have sworn that-" "Yes. The moon DOES control the tides." "Yes, that's what I thought." "Kind of a trivial thing. Most people know that." "Indeed. It just sorta came up and, you know, I wanted to make sure." "Of course." No one speaks again for the next 30 minutes
This video makes me appreciate how cost effective their sketches are. This is a funny premise, shot and edited in a manner that does the most you can with the concept. But almost all the shots are just of Chris sitting there with his eyes closed.
I've done thorough research on mnemonic methods, including the method of loci, which is commonly called the "mind palace" technique. It's incredibly powerful. Of course, after trying it myself and using my palace for everything, I can say that this is pretty much how it goes after a while. No assistant named Shannon, though. And the fire department is grossly underfunded.
It’s crazy how they made us create our own mind palace by imagining these people. And even the retroactive backflip line forcing you to recall and reimagine.
I'm enjoying these "minimalist filming" videos (like this one and the one with the guy dying in the snow). The writing is the best part of your sketches (IMO) so having them mostly in VO hardly detracts, and I assume it lets you get more out which is GREAT.
This is actually in the tradition of radio plays, which, while it is a bit of a lost art, there is a huge history of them. Check out a Prairie home companion. they had radio play sketches on every episode. And then that show was reworked into Live From Here which has amazing music!
I've just been working with a Mind Two-Story-split-level-single-family-with-off-street-parking, but I've been thinking of upgrading to a palace if I can find the right Mind Neighborhood.
Gotta love looking at the description and not just seeing the usual Sokka being in this (since he’s in everything) but also cameos from the voices of Zuko and Korra! It’s always so fun to see a sign that the VAs of ATLA and LOK keep in touch and see/hear them helping out with each other’s projects.
Freaking love audio dramas! This whole sketch sort of reminded me of Dream's castle library, from the comic Sandman, which contain a collection of every book that has ever been imagined--even if that book was never published or even written.
As someone who tried learning the mind palace technique in high school, this is surprisingly close to what actually happens. I can remember that DNA is strings of proteins that determine both what you look like and what your kids might look like, and everything else is stuck under piles of confusing and useless nonsense. So, just like every other organizational filer I’ve ever used, just in my brain this time lol.
Everything about this video was so spot on. Amazing voice acting and audio design. I could picture everything happening as if I was watching it. Bravo fellas
That “would you like to make a withdrawal?” line was a PERFECT set up for the spank-bank joke! It was such a weird line on its own, then the punch line walked up right behind me and decked me with a frying pan.
I think this is a really awesome skit, at its core is just two people sitting for 6 mins which could get boring but the writing, the character acting, music/soundeffects, and the pacing all make it super enjoyable. Very good work very impressive
Omg I listen to most of this video without watching and I created so many images in my head, picturing the mind palace and the assistant and all the other locations. It was a whole trip and realizing the whole video plays only in his head is so hilarious!
Love your videos guys! You always do such a phenomenal job and it makes my day whenever you upload! Keep up the good work! Also the cross shaped scar on the cheek is a really cool touch
Your guys' comedic style and timing is incredible. You set up the premise so effectively. You build up the stakes and get us all giggling inside at the premise, and maybe even guessing what the jokes gonna be... then WHAM, subversion of expectations. You take that subversive idea, give it a minute to develop and sink in, and then WHAM - a subversion of that last subversion. You're construct whacky amd fun worlds one brick at a time. I feel like the nod to inception in your gofundme video was like a kind of meta reflection on your style. My 2cents 😁 Ps. Great job on the Dr. Kleiner impression. Absolutely impeccable 🤌.
The impressive audio design this channel brings to the table is amazing! I could easily see them making a successful series of radio (or podcast) dramas
You guys are amazing! Love seeing the villain character come back. The quality of these videos are always excellent. I think it’s time for me to check this Patreon out
