Let me address the concerns that some of our listeners have raised. This is a "Virtual Anointing" and by that I am not claiming that is the full experience of the Sacrament of the Sick. But at this time when priests are not allowed into hospitals, nursing home, or in many cases to visit the sick, this prayer experience on-line is meant to be a comfort. If you listen to my words carefully I had hoped that this would be clear. But apparently not. Just as parishes around the world are offering Masses on line and are encouraging a "spiritual communion" which is not a "sacramental communion" but nevertheless an important way to receive Jesus into our hearts, so this prayer video is meant to be a comfort. If the words "Spiritual Anointing" are more helpful to you, then substitute those words for "Virtual Anointing" because this is the sense in which this prayer is intended. The sacraments are a primary means through which grace is meditated, but they are not the only way. The on-line videos that are posted in abundance around the world today are helping us stay strong in our faith when the sacraments are not available to the faithful.

Lament prayer: Turn to God in prayer. Express your anger, pain, heartache, or sadness. Humbly ask God what you want him to do about the situation. Express trust in God, even if you can't yet see the outcome. You probably already know all of this, but I hoped to offer you hope during times of pain or weakness as it's helped me. Trust in God. If you are a broken pot, lamenting is the bridge between you and the Bible. I imagine God fixing me, the broken pot.

I felt the power of the Holy Spirit, especially when we made the sign of the cross on our hands and forehead. I on Facebook was sent this through a covid support group. Today my fiance has been on a ventilator for one week. Hospital for three weeks, and have had covid for over a month. The hospital staff are going to attempt to wake him today , and see if he will breathe on his own. In my moments of anxiety as the day goes on I was sent this. I prayed this over dean. My father , have mercy on us , and intercede on Dean's behalf. Amen

The Lord led me to this video a month ago when me and my husband, Michael were admitted in the hospital at different facilities. He was diagnosed with COVID while I was miraculously negative hence I was isolated in a different quarantine area in a different hospital. I prayed this and I also sent it to him. I believe he also prayed with you. I was healed and never was positive for Covid after 3 swabs during my 14 days quarantine. Unfortunately my husband’s condition worsen after 4 days of admission but managed to hang on for 10 days. He passed away on April 2, Good Friday. I know this prayer prepared him for his next life...
