I was 60 ... friends needed someone to watch their 20 horses for two weeks. And after two weeks of moving twenty horses up and down a mountain every day to their various pastures, mucking 20 stalls, feeding them, talking to them to suit their various personalities and "quirks". When I returned home my body felt like I'd been in a car accident and everyone asked me if I'd been on vacation because I looked so relaxed and refreshed. Don't put me in assisted living. Just drop me off at the stable.
This video with the beautiful Clydesdales made my heart soar! My favorite groups together, the senior citizens, and these beautiful horses! God is so wonderful!
I've always told my husband; if I ever have to go to a nursing home, I want 2 things; I want a place that has animal therapy, and I need the recording of a cat purring, to listen to with headphones. I have my own horses, and I can't imagine life without them...
My mom is in a nursing home right now recovering from surgery a year ago. She can barly walk and i am crying watching this video because she loves animals and rescued so many in her lifetime.
I wish they had of allowed animal's at my mom's nursing home....... our furry friends can give so much comfort and unconditional love to those who need it most. My thanks to all that take the time for this loving act.
The residents need animals around them. Many of them had to leave their pets with other family members or friends when they moved into nursing facilities. Animals have amazing instincts and are very comforting! I wish all nursing facilities had some type of animal therapy!❤️❤️❤️
Everyone of the residents want to touch the horses. How wonderful what a amazing home to let these animals in to visit. As it should be. Anything to engage their minds.
This brought me to tears. So awesome, so beautiful. And when I say beautiful - obviously I mean the horses, but equally I mean the smiles on the residents, the gentleness of the horses, and the life they brought to the residents. Probably the largest allowed therapy animal, with the biggest heart and the sweetest temperaments. Thank you.
This brought me to tears. I used to ride my Arab to a nursing hone in Gulfport Mississippi and they men and women looked forward to our visits SO MUCH.
Absolutely beautiful and so therapeutic for the patients. Some people are bringing their own horses in and one that I saw he picks the Rooms that he feels he should be in. Amazing! Thank you for posting!
This is so sweet! In NYC you cant visit the elderly they are pretending it is because of the virus but its really because of control! Loneliness affects the elderly and they die of it just as much as the virus! This is great for them!
Just found your channel and subscribed as well. Thank you for sharing this heartwarming video with the Clydesdales making alot of peple's Day!!!! Bless you and yours and those GORGEOUS HORSES!!! Now, I have to go to your page and binge watch till I catch up!!! 🙏💖🇺🇸🙂
Visiting the Clydesdale facility west of St Louis is a bucket list item for me. If I don’t get there, I’d be so happy with this version of pet therapy.
What a beautiful thing to do horses are amazing animals well done to you all and thank you for looking after the beautiful horses God bless you all 💫💫💓💓💓💓🙏🙏

That was awesome to watch. Some of those people were trying to stand up but they just couldn't, the handlers were so good to get the horses to them. Great idea.
Animals are great for the well being of people. They bring our blood pressure down, make us smile and lets us forget about our personal problems and health issues.
How wonderful for the elderly & staff to meet such gentle giants, truly inspired idea, hope they continue to make visits like this & bring a little joy into people's lives, really enjoyed seeing this thank you
@@OWK000 Muting is ok but the chance to hear nature interacting with people is to be treasured. They dont play the mind bending music in nursing homes.
The lady at 2:06 was especially beautiful to see. She seems to have horse experience in her past, she's so comfortable and so interested. ❤️ I love the lady spotting her in case she loses her footing. What a great video.
2:15 .....min . The old lady in white , looks like , when she was a young girl probably lived in a farm , perhaps great memories came back because , the way how she touched the horse is evident .......!!!!
I love that even the one that don't conform to the requirements for hitch still have a position that is this huge as ambassadors of the brand still have a huge impact.
That was absolutely lovely. Seieng how they react to how some of them probably had as a child. To work the fields. My Dad had Morgan's. The poor farmer's tractor.
HATE THE MUSIC!!! I WANTED TO HEAR WHAT WAS BEING SAID!!!🤬🤬🤬🤬 However, I’m so thrilled they were able to bring such magnificent animals to this facility. The joy on their faces warmed my heart....thank you!❤️❤️❤️
That was great to watch. Some of those people looked to be in really bad shape, but when they saw the horses their faces lit up some got got up out of their chairs or beds to pet them. Sadly, for many of the people this might be one of their last happy memories.
I've ridden Clydesdales many many times and they are super wonderful horses. Forget the fancy scaredy-cat thoroughbreds, not lived till you've thundered along in gallop with 6 other big boys like a scene from Krull!
Don't be too harsh about TBs. I've had an OTTB for 10 years. She loves her job (taking me for nearly daily trail rides) and even though she runs the joint, she's a benevolent leader. Sensitive and flighty, yes, and definitely not for everyone, but hardly fancy and well worth any efforts given by their owners.
@@user-bx7nw1ve6y Oh indeed you can get sweetie TBs but in my experience (and judging by how many are always for sale)...a lot are a bit too inbred and unstable for my tastes. Not a fault of the horses though. Bad decisions by humans yet again.
