The man mentioned over and over that he values his dogs more than his own children which is very messed up. I guess your own children are not really an “investment.” Would be choose to feed his dogs over his children? Also why were so many of the dogs in the kennel just sitting there so quiet. With 2 new people in the yard you would think they would perk up a bit more
