I will pray for you. I believe that the distractions are demonic, because that’s what Satan likes to do. So you need to command Satan and evil spirits to leave you. Ask Jesus to help you with that. He is more powerful than Satan! Also, if there is any unrepentance or unforgiveness in your life, that could also hinder you from reading the Bible. That happened to me a few years back. THROUGH the INCARNATION, GOD CAME to DEFEAT SATAN and enable his complete SURRENDER. I believe it's because if everyone knew or saw somehow some way it would be bad because people would try to fight to get up there then to actually follow the Lord needs for us to get there.

Also what is known about the evolution of societies , language, humans and the rest of the animals , makes it nonsensical to take the god claims literally.
