Miami Valley Center Mall's darkest hour has come, and might go, should the redevelopment plan go through. Hopefully the property doesn't sit so vacant for much longer.

I always wondered if you would get to visit my childhood mall. I remember that mall being absolutely packed with nearly 100% occupancy in the early to mid 90s. The large arcade was always bustling, the attached theatre and busy food court. Oh the memories. I remember Hills, Steve and Barry’s, Elder Beerman. I remember all of it. I still feel like I can go up to the same stores today to buy whatever I need but that’s not the case. Where did time go? I’ll always remember that mall, the smells, the noises, the atmosphere , another piece of my childhood gone forever.

Too many memories to list. @7:53 you can still see the colors of the old walk up Burger King. The banquet hall in the food court used to be an arcade. That janky arcade on the corner of Dunham's used to be a GameStop.You did a good job on this video! !!

Damn, never would have imagined I would see this in my recommended. This place was dying when I was a kid in the mid-late 2000s so I can't imagine how desolate it is now. It's kind of a shame, because this place is in an excellent location. Right off I-75, surrounded by gas stations and restaurants, and basically the last decent sized town you're gonna see for awhile if you're headed north. And no, Sidney doesn't count. That place is a zoo exhibit of urban decay.

It’s pronounced “Pick-Wah”, my mom’s from there- I stayed in the attached hotel to this mall for my grandma’s funeral a few years ago!

Like another said, its "Pick-wah". Other then going to Dunhams, I haven't been in that mall in ages. I always use the Dunhams main entrance.

mall walkers arent necessarily signs of mall death but mall walkers that feel so sure no ones coming in that they leave their personal belongings on the benches/tables might be

Used to go here in the 80's with my grandparents when they had work up that way, I distinctly remember shopping in the Hills. They had a good pizza place in the food court and one of the first dollar stores in a mall in that part of Ohio.

You see the same benches in every mall Doomie visits. I wonder if they all came from an Amish furniture place somewhere. They look well made and are about the only thing left in the malls, along with the gumball machines, and the vibrating lounge chairs.

I don’t see this mall staying open next year. I remember this mall as a kid and it was not the best mall, but the closest one to me. Also that GameStop store was legendary

@@ms.zelman3032 When i first viewed the video I did see it and I was surprised that it was not lit up and opened and one of the first in a dead mall. Ashtabula, Richland and Midway Malls in Ohio are still open. Beaver Valley, Cranberry and the Clearview Malls in Pennsylvania are open in those dead malls also.The display cases are empty and looked un stocked and un lit. Yelpers verified it was closed.Usually they are the ones that turn off the lights. I have always wanted to visit this mall and I hope to get a chance before it gets changed. I am up in the Akron area.Thanks for the critique.

For this video I ate Uncle Ben's garden vegetable style rice along with vegetable soup from Campbell's. I also had a glass of orange juice to go along with it.
