I'd love to hear your 6.5 component 3000 series up against focal k2 power 6.5 components I just got 2 sets of your 3000s a DSP and a 4 channel all from AD Designs but my other choice was going to be focal and I'm glad I went with audio dynamics but would like to hear what could have happened love you guys keep it up and super excited to hear this hole setup once she's all installed!!!
I'd like to see the JL c7 up against A.D. but the c7's don't come with a crossover, so you would have to run a DSP on both sets for a true head to head test
There are many issues with trying to level match using a 4 channel. Problem #1 Efficiency is a large part of a speaker. Therefore, we believe that we should not hinder the more efficienct speaker. Problem #2 People would then comment that both speakers were not powered by the same exact signal and that somehow the 2 channels of the amp somehow sound different than the other 2 channels. Problem #3 At which frequency would 2 sets of speakers be level matched to? Some say the average of the played frequency response. Some say 1kHz since that is the frequency used to derive a speaker's sensitivity. We believe that simply switching the speakers and letting them play as they would without handicapping a feature of them is the best way to go.
