A pretty good, short, instructive video on metal investment casting, sand casting, gravity casting at AW Bell ! This video summarizes the basics of the investment casting process which is one of the best and oldest techniques in manufacturing intrinsic, detailed & complex precision metal parts and components as well as finished products in reasonably large quantity, fast and near-net-shape. With near-net-shape we mean initial production of the item is very close to the final (net) shape, reducing the need for surface finishing. When we say you can produce parts fast, we do not mean the process is simple. To the contrary, the process has many steps and is labor intensive. Some parts that are complex are hard to machine and investment casting is a good fit for making them in the hundreds and thousands of pieces within a reasonable time. No big mold fees, nor weeks of mold machining times are involved as in die casting. Therefore under some circumstances, investment casting is preferred to metal die casting, because you can have your parts faster and in lower quantities which is prohibitively expensive if die casting is used for low quantity. If you use die casting, you will need at least a few weeks at most plants to get the die casting mold be made and you won't have any parts until the mold is ready and installed. The technique is called investment casting, because the ceramic mold is "sacrificed" or "invested" during the casting process. Another name for investment casting is "lost wax casting", because the wax is heated and removed from inside the shell prior to pouring in the metal. Plants mostly reclaim the molten wax and reuse it. Sand casting on the other hand is more suitable for parts with lower precision, and is less complicated. This being said, sand casting can however be used with secondary machining operations to obtain high precision parts. How did you plan number of part's per tree? any thumb rule? like weigh basis, if How much tree weight you prefer?

2:58 coat is black color. Why? Is that some kind of graphite in slurry?
