A walk around Nomadic Belfast, Northern Ireland - Titanic's Little Sister... SS Nomadic is a steamship of the White Star Line, launched on 25 April 1911 in Belfast. Built as a tender to RMS Olympic and RMS Titanic, she is now the last surviving White Star Line vessel.

Thank you for this wonderful video of the NOMADIC! I live in the United States and disabled, so the chances of me getting to visit are slim to none. I'm glad that she was saved for future generations.

Beautiful. I was making a fictional vessel basef off of the nomadic and this, alongside the deck plans helped a lot!

Ein wunderbarer Rundgang auf der Nomadic!! Besser wie jedes Bild. Sie sieht wirklich sehr gut aus. In 2015 werde ich sie wohl besuchen.

Nomadic was the tender - and just look at that workmanship!! Staggering! This is both beautiful and eerie, when you think of the mighty and the common who trod these decks - the Astors, Col Gracie.... Margaret "Molly" Brown.... the Duff Gordon's - I am so happy she was saved - I have GOT to get to Belfast and touch her decks. It looks like she came off Mr. Thomas Andrews design table..... Thank you so vey much for this!

The way they never restored the ships mast of wheelhouse.

It is sad that the mast was never restored, but the wheelhouse was actually added to Nomadic a while after the ship was launched. When they were restoring the flying bridge they did so following the original 1911 plans which did not have an enclosed wheelhouse

I wish they would float the ship... at least in the dock. I hope water touches her hull again some day.

Billy Jeffs i think they do occasionally but you have to remember she’s not as young as she once was. She’s a lot more fragile now and probably wouldn’t be able to withstand the weight of today’s passengers. Plus did you notice there’s no real creature comforts on board? She was meant to ferry passengers to the Titanic, and to nudge her out of the channel.

I would hope so too, but salt water takes a terrible toll on a ships hull - I'm just so happy she was saved - the pride and workmanship of the Belfast H&W craftsman is very evident - it speaks through time

Excellent video JayP, letting me see inside the Nomadic for the first time. This video will actually make me go and visit and see for myself. I have a few very amateurish videos of the outside of the Nomadic on RU-vid but nothing to rival this fine effort. Well done! I'm a bit surprised they allowed you to make the video or maybe they were unaware?lol

Hi Tom, Thanks... yeah they were aware of me filming, most of the staff seen me and said nothing so I assume it was OK, there were no signs to say not to either. It's a great day out, definitely a must see if your visiting Belfast.

The Nomadic was built specifically for the White Star Line's Olympic Class liners... Titanic, Olympic and Britannic as a tender ship, as far as I know she was built around the same time... launched in April 1911
