A Walk Around Tiverton (2020) | Mid Devon, England | GoPro Hero 8 (4K)

It was a sunny day so myself and my brother went for a walk around our local town Tiverton which is situated in the county of Devon. I decided to take my Go Pro Hero 8 out and do some test recording. Here is a short video of some of the footage!
🌅Location Information🌅
Tiverton is a town and civil parish in the English county of Devon and the main commercial and administrative centre of the Mid Devon district. It has also become a dormitory town for commuters to Exeter and Taunton. Tiverton had an estimated population of 20,411 in 2018. The total area of the two County Council Divisions (including Bampton, Halberton, Sampford Peverell, Uplowman and other small villages) had a total population of 38,191 in 2019.

It's quite a run down, deprived and sad little town with essentially nothing to offer anyone, to be honest. It's utterly soulless

In Tiverton I once found a shop in the utterly soulless high street selling 3L of strong cider for 50p. I've never seen that anywhere else...

My Grandmother, Doris May Webber traveled from her home town as a young woman back in the 1900's to Barry, South Wales, UK and married an African merchant seaman at Barry Docks and so history was made between the two of them. This is the first time I have visited (via the web) the beginnings of my family. I was looking for the old parts but Thank You for the walk through, it was quite sentimental for me.

Thanks for this bro. I grew up in Tiv back in the days of "the Tube" (90's). Now I live the other side of the world. I searched for "Tiverton" for a bit of sentimental nostalgia of my youth and found your vid. Time goes by so fast, so many memories. Nice one mate. Appreciated.

Likewise I grew up in Tiverton,I emigrated to Canada in 1974.Fond memories of my youth, would be nice to have captions of where it's being filmed, hard to get my bearings. Thanks for the video.🇬🇧🇨🇦

Thanks for for showing this. My husband's family came from Tiverton back in the 1700's and it was nice to see some of the old building and the pasture lands

Grandfather was born in tiverton and went to school at blundells. His father owned the butcher shop. He moved to Canada after the war.

You really did go around Tiverton. You didn't even include the 1000 year old church in the centre, which is more like a cathedral with Elizabethan vaulted ceilings, or the Grand Western Canal with horse drawn canal boats, or the Regency period houses, the Elizabethan schools, guild hall, alms house, etc. 😂

Haha maybe one day I’ll do another walk around “All” of Tiverton. Actually visited it the other day and it’s a real shame what’s happened to the state of the town. Barely any shops left now…

Thanks for posting this video after living in Exeter for over a decade we just bought a house in Tiverton and we love it .Exeter is over rate it’s not like we moved out of Exeter it’s 30 mins drive . The difference between Exeter and Tiverton ,,Exeter is full of students night clubs and expensive houses don’t even start with traffic air pollution .. everyone see things differently and we value different things in life .. yes I agree Tiverton few years ago it used to be shit hole fights drugs but 2024 things have improved a lot ..
