The next city I visited on my journey in Czechia was České Budějovice - another one with a rich history and interesting landmarks. Because, until the last decades, here was living for a long time an important group of German-speaking populationр the German name of the city is Böhmisch Budweis, or simply Budweis. Something clicked in my head and I checked it, so it turned out that the famous brand of Budweiser beer has been brewed here since the foundation of the city in 1265 and it was just in 1876 that the beer began to be produced also in the United States in their brewery in St. Louis, Missouri.
