As a true British born (which goes back many generations) person I feel ashamed to say I was born in Sparkhill in 1958 & it was a totally different place, the family moved out in 1970 when the area started to change

Sparkhill is where I was reared. Went to English Martyrs School and lived in Park Road. Went shopping with my Mom on the Stratford Road. This place has become a dump, and is barely recognisable. So very sad - and makes me very angry!

My Mum born there 1914......need not say more...

I don't like the way birmingham has become these day's that's why i moved to worcestershire,but one thing i must say is the fruit and veg in the shops on the stratford road are a lot more appealing than the big 5 supermarkets

This is so sad....

Stratford road is a dump. Vendors put their wears on the pavement and block wheelchair users, blind people can not navigate around the mess. Littler ever were discussing place it's changed so much this is like a street in their world country not a street in an English suburb CLEAN IT UP YOU TRAMPS
