If you're planning a trip to France you absolutely can't miss Colmar. Resembling the little town from The Beauty and The Beast, it'll have you humming "little town, in a quiet village ..." the entire time!
We spend only a day here and found that was enough to see the whole place. Definitely take a canal right along La Petite Venice to get a different view of the town, it's also a relaxing way to spend a half hour.
May was the perfect time to visit as the weather was incredibly favourable and it wasn't too overrun with other tourists. If you head out first thing in the morning you may even get the streets to yourself like I did!
