Files Used: python code (written by v2b1n): gitlab.com/v2b... www.python.org... Commands Used: In this guide, I will walk you through setting up WSJT-X logs to automatically upload to QRZ logbooks.
Thanks, John! - From the description: "Files Used: python code (written by v2b1n): gitlab.com/v2b1n/adi_to_qrz/-/blob/master/README.md www.python.org/downloads/release/python-390/ " If however there was something else I mentioned I would provide, that you do not see, please let me know what it is and I will do my best to correct the issue. Thanks!
@ HAM RADIO DUDE Great tutorial! I'm having a small issue with the scheduler as in I get this message when it tries to launch; Task Scheduler did not launch task "\Python QRZ AUTO" because instance "{cf8680e5-c2d2-48b7-a810-2df7e61281dd}" of the same task is already running. I'm not computer savvy at all, what could the cause of this error message? Thanks in advance Steve M0LVL
Good Day, Steven. Though this could be difficult to troubleshoot over RU-vid, I am thinking that somehow multiple instances of the script have started running. In the Task Scheduler, do you see more than one version? Additionally, the original creator of this script has updated his installation instructions to cover this topic a bit more - From Vladamir: "i've updated the documentation (gitlab.com/v2b1n/adi_to_qrz) so the installation / "schedule task" creation for windows is more detailed described." (Thank You Vladamir for the amazing work!). Hopefully one of these things may steer you in the right direction.
@@HAMRADIODUDE Good afternoon, nice one thank you! I'll have a look into it and I'm thinking it may be best to just uninstall everything and do a clean install, I think there's too many variables that could be the issue so going back to the start is probably best! :-)
EXCELLENT presentation on taking an FT8 log entry from WSJT-X and sending it to QRZ. I would like to do a similar thing. Instead of going to QRZ, I would like to create a POTA .ADI file that I can upload to Parks on the Air. Are U aware of a Pyhon script file for this function? I would like to have a START /END DATE/TIME to extract the log info from my WSJT-X .adi file, plus add the park # K-1234, and other info required. I worked U a couple days ago when I was activating a park! Keep up the GREAT YT vids. 73 David
🤯😲🤪🤦🏻 Wow! This country boy’s head is spinning after all of that! I see I have a lot to learn! I come from a farming and construction background not a technical background. However, after a prolonged illness I did go back to school to become a RN and worked for several years as a registered nurse before finally becoming unable to work again due to multiple chronic health issues. Since I am not able to get outside much these days I have more time to focus on learning as much as possible about ham radio. It helps distract some from the pain and brings me some enjoyment so I am very thankful for that! I appreciate all you do for ham radio and for trying to make it easier for those newbies like me to understand and get involved in these different and exciting aspects of ham radio. I’m really enjoying your channel! Thanks for all you do! 73, KM4OCJ - Todd from south central Kentucky
Looks like a lot of work. But I'm going to have to sit down and do this step by step. one thing at a time. Looks like this will save a ton of work uploading the contact files after each FT-8 session.
Fantastic Video , very clear and easy to follow instructions. Quick note under my windows 7 box I had to remove the /min when creating the task. With this option set in there it would not connect to QRZ.
Thanks for the nice video, HamRadioDude, i've updated the documentation (gitlab.com/v2b1n/adi_to_qrz) so the installation / "schedule task" creation for windows is more detailed described.
Thanks Ham Radio Dude, your video moved me forward a lot in my quest to automate this process after wayyyy too long doing it manually! Very clear and easy to follow the process, top marks for your presentation. One question though, I want to also send my log to eQSL and was hoping there might be another (Python) script to do this? Any thoughts? 73 M0OLM
I did find this for JS8Call - github.com/m0iax/RealtimeLogUpload . I assume it could be modified to do Logs from WSJT-X (if modification is needed at all). I can look into it further and see what can be done. I'll need a bit of time though as I don't even have a eQSL account. I'll let you know my findings!.
@@HAMRADIODUDE That's very helpful, thanks for following this up. I'm not a programmer so wouldn't be able to modify the script myself, but I am willing to do any testing you might need as I do have both QRZ and eQSL accounts and subscribe to both.
I do not, unfortunately. I don't have access to a Mac. I'm sure it could be done though, The python would work in mac, and the difference would be scheduling the script to run, which could be done via Cron. Where are you stuck? Thanks!
I need a Mac walkthrough as well.. got all the way to copy and pasting the API and then putting the ads_to_qrz.py file in the WSJTX folder but then not sure what to do next with the python program
