I've had similar experiences in hotels, and can confirm it freaks you out a bit. I wonder if they are just understaffed in housekeeping? Seems to me for 400 a night it should be at least a enjoyable experience.
That was the worst part Eric, spending all that money and even without the bug situation the rooms weren’t up to 400 a night standards imo. Idk, a lot of ppl love that hotel so who knows maybe we just got super unlucky 🤷♂️. Anyway thanks for watching! ✌️❤️
This sucks so bad! We have stayed several times and absolutely loved it every time. We found a small beetle on one of our stays, but it definitely wasn't a bed bug. I think the bugs fly and crawl in because people leave those balcony doors open constantly to watch the fountains. 😂 I wish y'all had a better experience. It's tough to pay that much and hate it. I'm glad they gave you your money back though, lots of places don't do that. (As I've read in reviews). Hopefully your next trip to the Smokies will go a little smoother.

I agree, a lot of places would have just kicked you to the curb without a refund so it's nice they did that! I had such hope for this hotel b/c everyone loves it, but it's our luck that we were the ones that had a bad experience! LOL. ❤
Yep, Mike, we love the one in Gatlinburg! The chairs by the fountains are awesome! As for the Margaritaville in Pigeon Forge, we probably won't be back. I wanted to like it, but alas not so much. ✌❤
The price you pay for those rooms makes all of this unacceptable. When we came a few years ago it was immaculate. Hopefully they get their act together soon.
I agree Bob! It wasn’t a great 1st impression, and I doubt we give it a second shot which is unfortunate because I wanted to like it (and I know a lot of ppl do). I really feel like their housekeeping is not great right now, so hopefully they can turn it around and don’t just let that hotel go! ✌️❤️
As someone would got bugs from pigeon forge tn and had to buy a whole new living room suite. I sprayed and got rid of them but . Anyways. Anymore guess maybe I should spray on my own
Oh my! Y’all know that is where we stay. Never had a problem but we only get the 2 bed suite. When we are there the fountain music always stopped at 11pm. But our room is on the village side. Granddaughters room was fountain side but she never complained about the noise. I sure hate y’all had a bad time. The bug looked like a stink bug, for the past few years they have invaded the south, horrible, if that is what is was. I am definitely going to check everything when we go in august, I do remember we went right after the lock downs from covid and they were really short on housekeeping staff but we still had no problems. Hi Carolyn! Hopefully it was a stink bug🤞. I think maybe we just had bad luck because I know a lot of ppl love that hotel; honestly, I wanted to love it too but alas it wasn’t meant to be. I can’t blame you for canceling. I know we won’t be back to this hotel. I do know a lot of people who love this hotel, so maybe we just had a random experience? Finding bugs in 2 rooms makes me think it could be a problem. Who knows, but wanted to share our experience as a cautionary tale. Personally, there are so many better (cheaper options) in Pigeon Forge! ✌️
My wife wants to be near the island, Standard Margaritaville booked solid. You seem to have some experience, any other options close to the island that you’re aware of? Incidentally subscribed, we appreciate your efforts. A bad Hotel can ruin the entire vacation as you are certainly aware Just putting it out there, in case you have alternatives in mind. There is a Home 2 Suites, or Tru By Hilton right behind the Island parking lot. There’s also The Inn at Christmas Place that’s really close and a great option. Those are some of the ones I would consider to be close to the Island. Thanks for subscribing! ✌️❤️
