Jacob & Co are horrible. I stopped watching Producer M as he's such a sycophant for that brand. Fed is a true watch guy (G-Shock) and always tells it straight. Bravo!

Totally agree on the Jacob watches, the only use for them is to walk into a shop to view them as a piece of art. But as a watch to own and use? OF course not. Well maybe for the super super rich. I can only afford 10-15 Rolex watches.

Federico, I don't think your criticism on Jacob&Co is entirely justified. Fair point about his dodgy past but as for his watches, the crap that you are talking about was released 23 years ago! I don't think Jacob can be forever damned for something that happened so long ago. If his watches of the past 10 years have been of good quality, and I mean the relatively inexpensive ones, then I think we can overlook the crap of the past.

What firearms pair well with a G-Shock? Glock 17? H&K USP? Staccato XC? Hope you had fun at the range!

Traded in my 2019 Datejust for a new Omega 300M Beijing, a new Montblanc Heritage GMT and quite a bit of money back. I know the datejust is a great watch but I just have zero pleasure in wearing a Rolex. I very much dislike the Omega company, but enjoy their watches. The Montblanc was an impulse buy, but I can't tell you how much I love it. Most people would tell me I'm crazy for this trade but I have no regrets.

What do you think about guys who wear AP? Douches?

Had the AT Worldtimer (blue dial) once before. Everything was perfect except for one issue - the size. Makes the watch look bloated. Wish Omega come out with a 40- 41mm version, and I'll get one in a heartbeat.

Come on, dude, Rolex Rocks, the wristwatch game, period!!!! I mean, there are certainly many very nice pieces on the market today....but you will never lose money with a Rolex!!!

Agreed, a lot needs to change at Rolex. The marketing needs to be toned down (a lot) they need some honesty and transparency, even if it hurts their branding. They need to focus on watchmaking, develop complicated movements, reshape their catalogue, innovate with different materials, improve their finishing and make some changes to that 32xx movement to regain some reliability. As much as it might hurt their branding, they also need to use an actual certification instead of their self awarded Superlative. I know this means they might have ro consider METAS, but i personally would see that as them humbly trying to prove themselves again, and allowing their product to be transparently compared. IMO changes like this would cause the douchbags to abandoned them which would be good long term and allow supply/demand to return to manageable levels.

Jacob & Co pricing is based on the Greater Fool Theory. If you buy a Jacob, you're already the greatest fool and you lose all of your money. And you might say, you buy to wear, but this is not Omega.

Jacob and Co get hate. Chaykin gets love. Strange thing, taste.

My favorite 2024 is the Prospex Limited Edition 1965 Recreation European Exclusive in Gradation Island Blue. The dial is stunning and the contrast when on a white strap is to die for. I will get my hands on one from MAMACOO

Yes, I have bought from AMZWATCH more than once. I even bought a new Omega Speedmaster which came with the fancy box and packaging. I am thrilled with all my purchases here. I would purchase from AMZWATCH again for sure.

I’d never wear a Jacob watch because they’re way too expensive but I appreciate what they’re doing at the high end of their catalog. There’s no denying their knowledge and ability at that level.

I could never afford one, but I like some of the Astronomia watches. I appreciate some of the mechanical acumen of Jacob & Co, but not their gaudy watches covered in gems. I'm open to just about any watch, but I probably wouldn't wear Heritor or Invicta.

Jacob&Co make some very high end watches. However I don’t see myself wearing one regardless of the price. It definitely takes a specific person to do that. Much prefer MB&F design language and technology if we have to talk about similar concepts.

Casios are trash watches. All these watch people in the watch community loving on Casio confounds me. Then Fed says he won’t wear a Jacob & Co Astronomia because they used to make a watch 20 years ago that was still way better than a Casio which he wears. Total nonsense. Give me the Astronomia and throw that casio in the garbage where it belongs. 😂
