Couldn't agree more! I bought matching green dial quartz PRX's for my wife and I - hers is the 35mm and mine 40mm. Even though I own Rolex, Tudor and multiple Omegas, the PRX gets worn 2-3X a month. Further, it's the only watch that I've gotten compliments on in the last year from complete strangers. Great review Fed.

I wasn't interested in the PRX until I saw one in person. They had them in the watch shop on a cruise ship. I was impressed in person. I bought one in blue and love wearing it as a casual sports watch. It is really amazing how it catches light and sparkles in both artificial and sunlight.

I also bought one of these just a year ago with the blue dial. I couldn’t be happier. It’s just a great looking watch and while I have watches costing multiple times this, I enjoy wearing this one thoroughly.

Fun piece, I tried one on at a local shop. It's nice but I wasn't blown away by it. Not sure I can wrap my head around all the hype for it but I'm glad it exists at that price point as most integrated bracelet watches are incredibly expensive. Enjoyed the content as always.

Tissot is the Swatch bang for the buck leader. I rarely dress where a Rolex sports is too casual, but I am considering a Tank or Reverso for those times. This could work for that situation, and you did not mention that this design is totally true to Tissot’s 60s/70’s heritage designs. Thanks Fed!

Great review. I have a couple Tudors, several Omegas, Grand Seiko, Breitling, Nomos, etc. I also have the white dial PRX Powermatic 80. I wear it a lot. It’s such a fun watch and looks great on the wrist. I love it so much, I have the Ice Blue dial version on order. 100% agreed if this watch said Longines on the dial, it would be $2K. Hard to go wrong with a PRX

Sorry it is not that great compared to the Gentlemen; the PRX is like an Alfa Romeo, it looks great when it is released but 2-3 years from now it looks outdated and it will bore you to death which the Tissot Gentlemen will not do as it is way more versatile. Sure the bracelet might not be as good but what does the bracelet matter if you are not going to wear it in the long run 🤷

Nice review! It's good to hear others who have access to top-tier brands yet acknowledge unattainability isn't everything. As you say, it's vg value for money. I've the same movement in a Certina Big Date CS-1 60th anniversary. I've just ordered the gold 40mm version that echoes the AP Royal Oak. I could buy an AP copy but I don't like fakes or what they represent. If you get over watch snobbery, and the price bonanza fuelled by flipping (thankfully perhaps coming to an end), there are some great mainstream watches around. I leave aside microbrands that are also often terrific value for money. These other brands, often steeped in history even if now in modern and multigroup ownership, look smart and are v fairly priced since they have to rely on attraction to people who don't have deep pockets and so quality, design and price count for everything. It's lovely to see the watch industry resurgence and to see so much accessible choice.

Not one single full hour sees the hour hand aligned with the respective index AND it has a metal chip on index 5. My first green one had a scratch on the dial, went to Tissot for repair and came back with another, new scratch... I love the PRX and everything about it but Tissot DOESN'T have quality control. Not sure what you’re referring to here but you don’t regulate the escapement on auto watches it is the balance wheel that can be adjusted to speed up or slow down. These Powermatic movements are free sprung balance movements hence the lack of regulation arm but they can be regulated by a watchmaker by adjusting the weights on the balance wheel.
@vonkruel

Peakrider is right. Regulating these does require more care, but at least you don't need a special tool as you do with Rolex. A free-sprung balance is actually a feature, but ease of regulation is something you do give up with it.
