Johnny Rotten as Jimmy wow, would have been brilliant off the scale good, but Phil is more believable , more real, Johnny is iconic and comes over ,well back then, as too bigger personality , Phil is Jimmy he plays it perfect , you could have anybody else play him now, he was so good he has retired the part really...but Johnny would love to see it though.
True , just like Joe Strummer , but many of them were most definitely from working class backgrounds , like John Lydon , for example . In fact , John Lydon said he didn't want to have any part of a film that featured Pete Townshend's dreams .
As far as I can tell by googling, this documentary was directed by Robert Sandall and released on DVD in 2006. Perhaps the gent who uploaded it, ravenhearst09, could confirm?
I met Toyah in Regents Street one day in 2012 - I mentioned Quadrophenia was being aired again on TV that night - and she told me she’d never watched the film in her life-was she telling the truth or was she just blowing me off? I wonder
The best best film ever they cast it right I went down to Brighton from Teesside the other year to visit the filming locations and then I found out that Brighton is the gay capital of the UK nothing against gays but that is certainly not me and when I tell people I've been to Brighton they look at me and then after i explain no filming location East Street things like that to do with the film Quadrophenia lol
