Wow - we learned a lot - didn't know about sugar flowers. How did you make them? Or did you buy them? Tissue and tins were a great way to transport them! Are you still here in California, or back in freezing, stormy New England? My sister from Maine got the last flight out of Boston yesterday morning before the airport shut down for the storm. We're enjoying our California sunshine!

No, I'm back in freezing, stormy New England. Glad to hear your sister made it out of Boston yesterday. It was a pretty bad snow storm. Yes, I made the sugar flowers. I make a sugar paste which I form into the petal shapes and then they dry till they are solid. Then I color the petals and assemble them together to make the finished flower. It is a multi day process, but I enjoy it.
