This is a shorter video (by Anthrospin standards) and goes over several of the methods by which words are created. Maybe it doesn't sound so exciting, but there's a lot to it, and etymology is a big part of linguistic anthropology. It includes derivation, compounding, blending, clipping, acronyms, borrow words, calques, and back-formation.
It's not exhaustive by any stretch of the imagination, and feel free to add to the list or ask your questions below!
