A day by day video of what I do each day to operate my Etsy plant shop. Follow Me On Instagram: / queencitytropicals My Etsy Shop: www.etsy.com/shop/QueenCityTr... #houseplants #plantshop
Hello, What an awesome video! The incredible amount of work shows in the quality of your plants. Thank you for sharing. I hope that I can get that Philodendron 69686 that's in your shop in the next day or two. Love & Light
Girl you do you ! And thanks for the information of how you run your business and trying to hold things together. Always love to see Bernadette supervising her street 😂😂😂
What a great idea to show your weekly routine😊 I’m in the UK so I feel I can’t support your small business, but wish you all the success for your growing business… I I’m self find Etsy quite difficult to work out for selling, they advised me to do free shipping, but I’m a Potter and I have quite heavy pieces 😆
Hey no worries! Watching & commenting helps me out too and I appreciate it! Yes I would imagine pottery would be really challenging to ship! Especially affordably!
Man I just followed your etsy. I guess the burle marx variegated sold already. 😔 Been trying to find a good one for weeks. Love your channel by the way. Very nice insight and tips!
Thanks for watching! I'm glad you enjoyed it! The Variegated Burle Marx go so quick on there! FYI I will be listing some either this Wednesday or next, if you want to send me a message on there I can reserve one for you! :)
Absolutely loved this video! Hope you continue to do these types of content. Really enjoy seeing a little behind the scene of running a small plant business. And I hear you on the grandma thing 😆 I'm in bed by 8pm right after my baby boy goes down for bedtime. 😅
Thank you so much! I don’t have to use a program to transfer them but I have a usb to usbc hub and then transfer them to an external hard drive and then edit in Final Cut Pro. Hopefully that is helpful for you, I know everyone has a little bit different setup for that
Hi from Australia 👋 I love your videos, i cant wait to get an outdoor greenhouse(hopefully next year 🤞), question...how come you dont just sell the plants in the sphagnum clear cups that you rooted them in?
Hello! Thanks for watching! The sphagnum moss thing is something I have thought about a lot! When I was doing some testing last spring for shipping all of the plants I sent out in soil did a lot better during shipping and acclimated more quickly once they arrived is the main reason. Also this winter in the greenhouse the plants in soil did much better than the ones I had in moss with more temperature variation. I have definitely considered just sending them out in moss though it would be a much quicker turnaround & cheaper so it is something to think about.
Interesting to watch your process in your plant life business. Excellent video! I have no doubt that it’s a lot of work. I’m trusting that you find it worth your efforts and that you get a lot of satisfaction from owning your own business. It’s wonderful to invest in your future and you plant shop is perfect. Wishing you great success in your endeavors!! 👌🥰🪴
Thanks for watching! I usually get my shipping supplies from either Amazon or staples - I don’t like to buy huge quantities because I don’t have anywhere to store them so it is a bit more expensive that way but worth it to me because I can easily store it.
I have a Sony ZV-E10 for the camera and I use Final Cut Pro to edit! Though I believe back when I made this I may have still been using iMovie. Thanks for watching!
I’ve actually switched to water prop completely for in the greenhouse but when I did use moss I would water it. It gets really hot and there’s a lot of air movement out there so it was hard to keep them at a good enough moisture level 🪴💦
I do make my own soil! It’s pretty simple, I do have a video on it though! How I Mix My Own Houseplant Soil ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-b36k9c9JnCA.html
I'll link a similar one! I will say though that I no longer use that because it was too small to photograph slightly larger plants so I just got a couple of foam poster boards for about $5 and like that way better! But here is a link to the photography box!: www.walmart.com/ip/TFCFL-Photo-Studio-Light-Box-Folding-Photography-Shooting-Tent-Light-Room-4-Backdrop/1185190901?wmlspartner=wlpa&selectedSellerId=16214
I would recommend reaching out to the seller and checking the tracking to see if it is unusual. I know that extra documentation is required for plants when crossing a border so that could account for some of it. I personally can’t ship to Canada so I’m not sure how long it might take. I do hope you get your plants safe and sound though!
