my voice was like that, too! My voice was completely gone Thursday and the lead teacher was out. That was fun. LOL. I'm still a little hoarse, but definitely better. Glad you're better, too.

I completely lost my voice and came down with a sinus/ear infection. It was awful! So glad you are back and feeling better. We also did our field trip last week to a children's museum and that was rough...so happy it's over :) Good luck with everything :)

I hope the changes are good for you but I would be so happy if you were going back to first!! I started watching you when you were in first but I love your videos so much I stayed. I’m trying to review comparing fractions with unlike denominators where you have to find equivalent fractions. Have you found anything that helps students remember the steps? They can do it with prompting but our testing is coming up in several weeks so I’m getting nervous! 😅

So the denominators are different and so are the numerators?

@@mrs_katie_in_elementary yes!! I have done the fraction bars, fraction strips, showing them how to write down multiples and compare. My special education teacher suggested I just teach them cross multiplication and be done with it so they could get the correct answer. But I don’t want to start bad habits for the fifth grade teachers.

That’s crazy!! Our standards for third grade are only like numerator or like denominator OR finding equivalent fractions with drawings and visual models

@@thetraumainformedteacher that makes more sense for sure!! I wish I had advice on how to help ☹️ the first thing I do when I’m confused or lost on teaching a standard is go back and read through the Florida best standards to see what I should actually be expecting my students to do and how
