I was born and raised in California and have been in Dallas for two years. Sometimes I miss California but when I go back to visit I just end up appreciating Texas ❤

You guys do such an amazing job of making sure your son Koa has the best childhood possible. It's really inspiring to see how much you take him around with you wherever you go, make sure he's having fun and explores too. I know you guys sometimes mention how you wish he had other kids around him to play with, but I think these formative years are actually such a perfect time to just have it mainly be the three of you. He'll always have a strong bond with you guys as he gets older because of these memories of undivided attention and just pure family time.

My husband and I were both born and raised in CA but we moved to Nashville almost 3 yrs ago and although we at times miss living in Ca every time we visit we are reminded that us moving was the best decision for us and our kids. We’re able to afford a better lifestyle for us and our kids something we were never able to do in cali ❤

What I also love about Texas is how convenient it is to travel to surrounding states since it’s kinda centralized, what ever yall decide I pray it’s what’s best for yall❤️

I love that you guys actually bring Koa around wherever you go, Texas has definitely made you guys family oriented and focus more on yourselves as a family being that you guys only have each other in a new state, although I loved when you guys used to live in California I feel like it’s gonna be a bit too much for you guys since it has a lot of influencers there and you guys might get side tracked & lose focus. If you guys move back to Cali you’re going to end up having family babysit koa more often and be going out a lot more & lose priority of doing family stuff 😏 plus it’s not the best place to raise your children with how bad it’s getting…. Idk that’s just how I see it. Cali was good for you guys when it was just yourselves , but now as a family Texas suits you guys better🤎

I personally do NOT think you guys should leave Texas yet. I absolutely hate it whenever you guys talk about it. If des is truly going to be unhappy there, then that is one thing. But I think you guys should stay a while longer. It's a great home. You got a shed, a big yard. Texas is amazing & everyone who I've ever met who's been there or lived there absolutely loves it & I've never heard bad things about Texas. I personally would not go back to Cali at all

Speaking from a born and raised Texan I can agree on the “southern” feeling Texas has but I feel like it’s a warming/loving/welcoming environment here with good food, music, fields, activities, lakes and such. Definitely different from California cause that’s my dream place to visit, I can imagine the shift from city life to Texas lol

We moved to Houston from Arkansas right before you guys moved. It’s crazy how similar our journeys have been. We moved, got home sick and tried to go back, then realized we actually like it here. It’s more southwest than actual south but there’s so much to experience and do. Hope you guys continue to enjoy texas as well!

Destiny I'm the same way I get anxiety being around people and going out and making friends. You're not alone, I hate it .

Sometimes God has us in certain places to grow and I feel this may be the situation. You are still getting acclimated into this new life and it may feel different at tines and its okay to miss our old life back home. I moved to Florida in November from Arizona and it's been an adjustment but I love it. My dad is from New York so my heart always feel like it doesnt fit into one specific place. It's always good to have family near by as well.

I just moved out to Dallas area this year from Washington and it is a big cultural change!!

Have y’all tried visiting different cities in Texas? Just to feel the different vibes. I remember y’all used to love your mini roadtrips in Cali to switch up the vibe. Based on the restaurant y’all went to today, the area is near my Dad and he likes the Dallas/mansfield/arlington area, but he loves Houston way more.

After listening to Julius I say maybe wait a couple to a few more years because I remembered when I moved from my city into a smaller town within Cali but even then for me it was hard I think maybe until the third year I started changing my ways of thinking about the move and realizing maybe we really won’t be moving back and I’ll have to start to explore around here locally and then I’m in year 7 and cant imagine going back there lol

I’m from California and still live in California, my grandparents lived in Houston Texas and I had some family in Dallas. I would go live with my grandparents in Houston on my summer breaks in Texas. Till this day, Texas is my most favorite state and there really is actually so much to do! You just have to be willing to go out and explore. My grandparents lived in so many states and once they came to Texas they never left. Texas is a great place to raise children to. I’d say give it another year at least and then see how you feel! One year really isn’t long enough to fully get the experience of Texas.

Since y’all are in Texas y’all should travel to Franklin Texas there is a safari zoo where you can touch giraffes and like a drive thru and the animals come up to your window and you can feed mostly all the animals! I stay in Houston and when I went I had a blast I know koa will love it !!! ❤
