Brother/sister, I don't know if you will read this, but this one together with the last week of Craig Ferguson's show, have pulled me through some dark couple of days. I see some light today. God bless...
Between Craig talking openly and honestly about his addictions and his demons when discussing Courtney Love and Britney Spears' meltdowns in his Monologues, and how he talked about the skewed nature of his memories when visiting Arbroath (being wired in such a way, having only remembered the negatives) - While not making me feel any better or worse about my own past addictions and demons, it has made me understand them a tiny bit more. Thank you Craig, and Thank you Jayleno Fly for immortalising these clips and collections. RIP Good LateNight.
He was so much better than all the twits on late shows today. God all of them are so freaking fake. I just bought his book, American on Purpose this morning. Really looking forward to reading it. Take care. 👍🍺
I watched the Late Late Show with Craig religiously. The Scotland week was an absolutely treasure! I wish Craig would do a show again. The true King of Late Night
This is some of the funniest American television ever broadcast, and some of the most honest and heartwarming. So many Americans like me tuned in each night to see him. I especially love this because of my Scottish heritage.
I feel the same way. Will never get tired to watching him. Have been watching and taping him since 2005. Have dvd's of his 2 movies he wrote and starred in - Saving Grace and I'll Be There. His other one is not so good and I don't think he wrote it.
I think if Craig did a show like this version of his late night show now, it would be popular. Like a Netflix, 7 episode, hour long travel show with bits and such. Of course, I don't mean NOW, but like a future now when travel is freely permitted.
That left Lion Rampant on the entrance gates to Glams castle was sculptured by Duncan, my late younger brother. [2:05:19]. Thank you Craig and the gang for an inspiring whistle stop tour of my homeland. Expat Alex in the mountains of Norway.
Michael seemed to really be enjoying himself and I really miss that guy..it makes me feel happy to see how well he fit in. The whole show was a delight for me watching it then and so much more seeing it now.
One of my treasures is having the original 5 Scotland episodes (Mon-Fri) on my DirecTv DVR. 1st episode was shown 5/14/2012. Even with this compilation on RU-vid I will NEVER delete them. Craig's at his best!! Comic and teacher and entertainer back home.
I like how at 1:18:10 they ask the kids what theyre learning 'modern studies, American inequality' and Michaels eyes get big and Craig goes "i'll handle this" while they switch places lol. Comedy genius and perfect timing on Craigs part... Thank you for posting these btw. I notice Craig is very mellow and kind of introspective during this trip. Pretty interesting imo.
These videos so entertaining to watch. I’ve literally watched them all almost over the course of this week😅😅... I wish watched him more when was on,but didn’t stay up that late because of school
Even better about Craig is the way he puts his guests at ease. He puts them at such ease that they become comfortable to talk about anything even the most awkward and embarrassing things, and we get much better guest interviews because of it. Is there such a thing as a people-whisperer??
@@SwankeyMonkey I don't know but James Blackwood is the Raccoon Whisperer on RU-vid. Thousands of us watch every night before bed. Most relaxing videos ever.
@@servicarrider There has got to be a 'James Blackwood' in my neighborhood, because the three Raccoons that occasionally pass through my backyard are almost twice the size of Mr. Blackwood's biggest, makes me think 'What are they eating???'.
Craig was the perfect late late show host. He took absurdity of early David Letterman and took it to a completely new level. It was the ultimate anti-talk show. There is nothing on the air today that comes close to making me laugh like this show did.
At a minimum, Craig Ferguson did more with less than any other tv show host. He was given little in terms of resources to enable him to succeed and outperformed any expectations anybody could have had. His comedy coupled with his intelligence and confidence with talking to beautiful women made him someone all women wanted to meet and all men wanted to be like.
@@scottyg3406 That's a good analysis. He also understood the concept of individual freedom fairly well, and still does. He's seemingly a small-L libertarian, and that endeared him to me. (Anyone who doesn't want to strip me of my defenses and imprison me for non-crimes can't be all bad.)
I didn’t know about Deacon Brodie and it was quite interesting. Looked him up and found out Stevenson was inspired by his story to write Jekyll and Hyde.
Yes, I was hoping and waiting for this compilation. I remember this show's trip, and that it was a really funny good time that he shared with these guests for that week. JLF, any hope of a Late Late Show's 'Last & Final Week' compilation?
No pressure. I know that you are already super busy turning out sooo many awesome videos, daily, and I do APPRECIATE that. :D It was just an idea for a good video compilation, whenever you get to it.
He was correct for 2012 when these where aired. About the only time i can ever remember it being that way but I spent alot of money that year ordering from the states
I've always wished I was. I wanted to make sure I was Mexican, so I did a dna test. It says I indeed am mexican and also 15% scottish. I am happy to know this. 🙂
Judi if you were Scottish you would know how to spell it only joking I don't mind ppl spelling it wrong, but I hate ppl saying The Queen of England when they mean UK lol
Great job here again JLF !! I was waiting for this one. 👍 Can you do one for the episodes in New Orleans during the Super Bowl ?? And what exactly does a Scotsman wear under his kilt anyways ?? Lol
OMG!!!!!!!!!! The Spur Hotel was my local in the eighties and nineties! The Landlord was a guy called John McCormack who was an ex football player. So many great memories. Craig went to the high school at the bottom of my street
One good thing about insomnia is catching up on Ferguson stuff I missed. Best late night show as far as I'm concerned. A shame he got burnt out on it...
Finally figured the first song out - Ninian Hawick - Scottish Rite Temple Stomp. Finally found a punk song better than SCTV's awesome The Queen Haters - I Hate The Queen.
I’d never heard of Ariel before but what a sweetheart. Quietly tolerant of the self absorbed nutter at the meal and in her element with the earthy old timer smoking fish.
1:35:00 "Population in Glasgow tripled during queen Victoria's reign most coming from Ireland to look for work." That's a weird way to say they didn't want to die from starvation due to an artificial famine.
Did Craig say in his song that he was invited to someone's apartment for some haggis and some tea? He mentioned haggis before on his show so I decided to look it up. In conclusion, there are a lot of things I would do to spend the evening in the company of a lovely lady, But I don't think eating haggis would be one of them.
_I thought everything would be smaller but everything is bigger ever since I've been back to Glasgow._ _My house, the street, my genitals. Back then all I could think about was my house on the street and my genitals._ _---- and now, I don't even think about my house or the street._
The links with the king are pretty dreadful but the interviews are great, he also manages to bring the best out of his guests, with Mila Kunis in the grave yard especially, has this show finished now ?
