Yeah, it is a beautifull place here, but please guys, don't underestimate the Mountains! I live about ten minutes from Appenzell and every day in Summer i see so many Helicopters heading to the mountains to rescue tourists who got lost or injured themselves. Enjoy the beautifull hikes, but stay safe!
It was expensive because you chose the expensive activities, hotels and food options. Also touristy places charge way more because it’s for tourists and they know ppl will pay. So guys please know that you can experience Switzerland with a lot less money. There’s something for everyones budget :)
YES!! It was so fun to be able to do the little activities and hike! I think we went before the huge tourist crowds for the summer came too, so we loved it. Already want to go back 🥹
hope you will be able to visit switzerland one day. there is so many things you can do. and there are many options also for not so good weather. lovely greetings from germany
@@lesliegutierrez-roman1690 I love Stoos, Zermatt, Grindelwald and Lauterbrunnen! The whole Bernese Oberland is pretty spectacular! You can find videos on these places on my channel. :)
Something went wrong. Started at one of the best hotels worldwide you can only be disappointed with the following ones . But anyway enjoyed watching your speedy tour .👍👍👍👍👋🇨🇭
I just realised as I was watching that you were in Luzern a day after I was there. I would have loved to have met you and Brandon and shared stories! Your vlog has been so lovely. Please come and visit us in London! Summer here is awesome and I would love to share places for you to visit 😊
Switzerland is a mountainous Central European country, home to numerous lakes, villages and the high peaks of the Alps. Its cities contain medieval quarters, with landmarks like capital Bern’s Zytglogge clock tower and Lucerne’s wooden chapel bridge. The country is also known for its ski resorts and hiking trails. Banking and finance are key industries, and Swiss watches and chocolate are world renowned. keep on vlogging
Please come back ! And try out Zermatt (winter /summer), Montreux & Lavaux (Summer), Gruyère area (Summer). Take the train from Montreux (goldenpass) to Gstaadt. If you want food, get to Montreux during the first two weeks of July for the Montreux Jazz Festival! Cheers from CH :)
Girl as a person from zurich I almost had a heart attack. I expected the normal tourist experience and didn’t know you were one of the super rich. The dolder is like one of the most luxurious hotels in Switzerland (so guys even tho she recommended you need to be rich - there’s other great options for a lot less money) Also sad you didn’t actually explore zurich..when you said on the first day you were off to explore zurich but then proceeded to go to a totally different part of Switzerland aka Appenzell u got so confused. Maybe zurich was just off camera tho idk
@@luciuschin it's pretty chill compared to what i've seen in other cities. Even tho zurich is the biggest city in switzerland it's still very small compared to other big cities in the world and therefore traffic is okay. most people use public transportation anyways in the city centre. It's also really organized so as long as you know where to go, it's gonna be fine. Only problem is there's actually a lot of one way streets or streets where cars aren't allowed in and i often see tourists get lost and drive on a street where no cars are allowed or the wrong direction in a one way street. So knowing the different traffic signs is vital to drive around (not sure if google maps is always right)
When you were out in the snow like at 23:21 I was wondering if it wasn’t very cold because you don’t look dressed in too many layers.. just curious because I’d imagine it would be freezing if there’s that much snow 😬
Welcome to Switzerland! 🍫🧀🫕 Wow! The Dolder Grand is one of the most expensive hotels in Zurich! 😍You get a lot for what you pay, but if you're on a budget, there's many cheaper options to stay in Zurich. :) But hey, you definitely did it well and treated yourself well there and also with the Lobster restaurant! Not many Locals can afford to go there, because of the price. (I'm a little jealous 😶🌫) So glad you enjoyed my home country and I hope you will come back again - maybe in winter? Actually every season is beautiful in Switzerland! 🤗 btw, Berne is the federal city of Switzerland.. (similar like the capital city) 😉
@@christynatanjingwei Yes, check Airbnb first, there is so many good and cheap rooms to book in the city centre. Otherwise, 25hours hotel in Langstrasse, really good location and has affordable rooms, and if you want to go super cheap, check for the youth hostel where you pay around 70 swiss francs per night ($78). I will make a video once I'm back this summer about what to do in Zurich etc. so let me know if you have any more tips you would like to know and I will try to add it in the video.😉
@@jniin_captures definitely, am actually planning a month trip to switz during october next year. planning to use public transport only so hotel near these necessities is definitely very helpful.
@Chris Tan You choose the best month (my birthday month!)🍁🎃🥧☕ I'm so excited for you! Then the 25hours hotel in Zurich is a good option for you. It's a 5-10 minute walk from the Zurich main station through Europaallee to get there. 🚶🏻 I love that you use public transport! 🚃 the views from the trains are amazing! Don't miss to go to Graubünden, Berner Oberland, Ticino and Geneva! Luzern is also a must :) Also, Switzerland is the most beautiful from the top, so if you bring your hiking shoes, you will see the most amazing views of the alps from the mountain tops ⛰🌄: Stoos, Säntis, Pilatus, Rigi, Grosser Mythen (very difficult hike) etc. The list could go on forever. Also, please go to one of our thermal baths, it's something you want to need after a day full of hiking. 💆🏻🧖🏻 But I will definitely make a few videos about that ;)
Yup agree... most beautiful but also expensive. From wasnt interested to deciding to spend 2 weeks there and most impressed and wanting to go back there....2nd to it is Tuscan region of Italy...
Loved this vlog!!! Did you hike in Hokas? If so, which ones and did you like them? I’ve been eyeing a pair of Hoka hiking shoes because I’m hiking in Switzerland later this summer too!
I got the packages through our hotel and paid around $200 per person but I've heard that the Swiss pass is worth it if you're gonna take the gondolas multiple days!!
If you travel alot, I really recommend Tmobile/Sprint as your carrier - I went to Europe and Asia this year without any extra costs! You have unlimited iMessage and data!
Hi, Christine!!! When you went to the Top of Europe, did you purchase your tickets before going or on the day? Planning to go there as well in a few weeks! Enjoyed the vlog! ❤
