@@shen7728 well , depend on ur goals actually , seeking for knowledge only or the overall experience of what UM able to bring ( for instance connection you would made even across different faculty) but if only for physics speaking , the lectures provided i would say decent , unless u really have extra effort to dig out more knowledge from lecturer, library , discussion etc regardless , is the whole environment and experience sharping my perspective toward life , society even world or the whole universe .It affecting every decision i would make in the future since then , haha hope somehow reply to ur doubt
@@RoyWongrygraphy most graduates of the programme goes on to do what? How does UM compares to other research universities in Malaysia for their physics department?

@@RoyWongrygraphy hi, i actually applied for physics as my 2nd choice in saluran autonomi UM.. What pointer do you think is good enough for me to be accepted? I got 3.67 for sem 1 :')
hi , to answer your ques, if u choosing matriculation would be easier to got offer to any government university compare to pre-U like STPM , secondly, to get which degree that applying has to depend of each course quota & vacancy & some even need for interview session rather just depending on result or type of pre-U , course like medic or some law or engineering is vacancy is lesser or relatively harder/competitive. in the end of day , it comes back to what you actually want your life or your career be and university is just a process or experience that reshape your perspective toward reality or changing world constantly . hope this reply to your doubt
I don't have any co-curricular activities certificate or ECA's. Though I've good mark in physics, math, chemistry and my IELTS score is 6.0. I wanna study Electrical and Electronics Engineering. will it be possible for me to get a chance at UM without any ECA certificates or Olympiad certificates?
Hello, I am a fresh graduate student in China. This year I received a mixed master's degree in computer science from the University of Malaya. I want to ask if it is convenient for Chinese students to live at the University of Malaya. How about the scientific research strength of the most important computer major at the University of Malaya? I am interested in returning to China or Hong Kong and Macau to study for a PhD after studying a master's degree at the University of Malaya. Thank you.
Owh we have a lot of foreigns and China friends here , u can meet alot of ur nations , i no that sure about the computer science competence in um but we have visits from hk University also , yes it is possible if u want further PhD later in HK or China
Did you do your asasi/foundation in UM? How was it? How come you have your own dorm (you're the only one in your room) in UM? Thought you had to share a room with a roommate or something
Haha I did matriculation in Johor, it was the one of the most nostalgic moment in life, yes I had my single room during my third year in um , I could choose room and I devoted myself for my college by becoming facilitator for orientation 😁😁

Yes is better if u have involved n excel in extracurricular so u would stand out from all those straight As but if u have special talents um would accept too depend on ur negotiation with um , FYI um offer direct intake too which mean u could pay n get in 🤫🤣
Roy Wong oh ok haha I plan to apply postgraduate after completing my double degree in overseas. My parent can’t afford to pay another 500,000 myr for my master 😞😞
Hi Roy can i asked that is it possible for me to switch from other public uni asasi to UM degree? Will UPU accept my qualification from the other uni? Thanks for ur reply yea
If not mistaken u need to apply via UPU if u are Malaysian and select courses n university ( if ur result is more than requirement then the higher chance u will get )
hello bro, what a fantastic video you're making. plus it's about my dream becoming a physic student in UM. i would really appreciate if you could tell me the requirements for UM students for us SPM batch 2020/2021
u need to go through pre u first before entering any uni , ( foundation , alevel , matric, or stpm) , but no worry requirement level for physics is quite low but of course u should do your very best regardlessly , requirement level is based on courses actually for professional course like DR , engineer , lawyer or accountant ,interviews session is compulsory and grade is be flying colour straight As or 4flat and get co-curicullum is needed for sure in order to compete.with otherssss

Is studying phy / applied phy a good choice for the malaysian, I fond of phy but at the same time I wonder if I can get a job after finish my degree in applied phy. Does UM provide internship or do u get any offer from the company in malaysia
The ans is yes and no , why ? Because it depend on what u go after for life , is it for job for money for purposes for start up etc. nowadays what we fond of can easily look for info or knowledge across the web not necessarily choose for ur undergraduate programme but if it is related to profession like doctor lawyer then u have to be specify to undergo the syallabus and field work
Hello, I would just like to ask about your opinion on the physics undergraduate programme here. Are the lectures here any good? And more importantly are the Physics modules here advanced and challenging?
haha i would say yes & no , the modules & syallabus can be challenging if yourself deep dive into them , are lecturer good ? well at stage of tertiary education it is even better we train ourself to hone the skill of mastering any sub that throw to us haha hope you get some insight from these comment

For initial stage (degree) mac or Windows are both OK, if u get into research window are more acceptable due to a lot of mathematical or engineering software only works in window ( of course if simulation involve the higher spec the better)

For this u have to confirm with engineering faculty administration, but most probably diploma n degree shouldn't be mixed I presume la but some course still can transfer one, sorry could give sound advice on this, normally we do credit transfer with one or two semester we having foreign exchange program
I think isn't a big problem, now um having direct intake offer ( which mean u can study in um if you pay for it rather than result oriented, university is basically a business Entreprise nowadays)

Well if offered with the chance of experiencing your uni life in university malaya is truely a bless & reap from the efforts u put. Do you happen to know if UM accepts transfer students from INTI's American University Program? I am currently in my 1st year, but would like to know if it is possible
Hi! I've got offers from UM and the Uni of Nottingham Msia, and because im doing the SATU program the expenses are similar. As someone who grew up outside of Msia all her life in an international setting, which uni would u suggest I go to? Is UM fit for someone like me?
it depend on what after university or undergraduate , whether u want further study in where , Notttingham uni does offer exchange programme with their branches in UK .
@@RoyWongrygraphy I want to study E. Lit., in which UM offers more exchange programs I believe as that course wouldn't have many chances to transfer to the UK. I'm just asking about student life; if a melayu who's barely melayu can fit in or not bc I'm worried I'd be too different
@@mayaa4873 erm shouldnt be a big problem if u doesn't care to mingle with other races or even foreigners , undeniably conventional mindset are here to exist yet as long as u doesn't did anything wrong why need to care or even scare others' ( same or differ skins ) perception toward us
@@RoyWongrygraphy that's true! I was just afraid bc I've been in an international private life overseas all my life. My course typically has less than ten people in it; would that make it easier or harder to adapt, and do different courses typically mingle and mix with each other ?
Maya share with u little worth secret actually anythings that happened happening happens has no meaning or emotions coming with , we are the one who give them meaning so does scare this feeling so train urself to be unfxckable any anything even hatres , It is definitely good to have close relationship between course mates as they would be the one for back us up along the journey especially during lectures , quiz , exam or even life if u lucky enuf , but don't worry , efforts are yours to seeking for companionship in or outside campus try not to limit urself just mingle within coursemates or faculty mate , try to expose urself with differ opportunities or fields 😊 cause u might not easily get after graduated
Engineering undergraduate mostly accommodate in kk1 kk2 kk3 cause are the closest to Engine fac , but postgraduate seem cam apply any college to stay just distance concern from faculty
for oversea u have to apply for Alevel for pre-u yet i got the chance from matriculation malaysia ( another pre u option) which is more fast track then normal "form 6-STPM" pre-u Matriculation only took us less than a year and due to political issue matriculation graduates are more easier to be accepted by local universities like UM UPM UKM etc . And UM are the top choice among public universities . in short , u should research based on the syallabus and course structure , facility , post graduate oppotunities or prospect instead of which is more wellknown . cause is u urself further studies not other (friend families etc)
95% English 5% is due to some lecturer are local so they would use malay as medium but u can request them teach in English if not just go for other lecturers
200$ for accommodation and 300$ per semesters for my course but the fee is after subsidised by government is quite cheap relatively private institutions
If they didn't change policy , college 12 and college 10 has major allocation for international student ( depend on your registered degree ) , for every first year student u are compulsory to stay in uni college but it depends on the year intake also if too many and uni college can't accommodate that much then u are allow to stay outside campus 😊
