Awesome everything old is new again Hopefully you can shoot some content I’d love to see what you do with them. Wish that when I was in production that there was the technology there is now to capture all that went into our gigs and the shenanigans that we got into. Love the channel .
Chris Welcome! Glad I can atleast inspire some creative thought. Thanks for watching. Hope you are working on some good stuff yourself. I bet you didn’t expect to be mixing Church livestreams a year ago :) . I’ll keep my eyes open for the next stream. Thanks again Chris!
@@DCAVL fixing church mixes has been the most challenging, yet most rewarding experience of my entire sound career. Always a pleasure catching you in the chat. Next stream is tonight.
depending on the network infrastructure onsite i would VLAN any tech control and have a seperate WiFi network for tech control. then you can roam around the whole venue and still be able to connect to the consoles. would be good for the break out rooms.
I really enjoy watching your videos. I'm a drummer at heart but I have a DJ business that I've been doing for 15 years and now doing more and more Production gigs and installs.
Fred, Thanks for letting me know you enjoy my videos. It’s the big reason I’m still making what I can. 15 years in business is awesome. I couldn’t be a DJ for one night…Let me know if there is anything you may want to see in the future. Thanks for being here in the comments!
ETC makes a highly capable modern version called the cyberlight. Expensive, but there still is a small market for scanners (mostly in attraction rides where they might need to be concealed by hiding the body behind a structure and poking the mirror out around it).
If you need something really small Earthworks FlexWand 730 Integrated Microphone Boom Stand. Other than that a lot of other mics are out that work great for choirs. Email me at dillon@indysns.net or join the discord and we can talk more about a mic that might fit your system better. Thanks for watching and being in the comments!
Great content, vocals sound killer. You know, I did sound for a big church in the Chicago land area with a waves soundgrid and a CL5. Drums sounded much better once I used the board channel processing. I tend to only use the extra help of the waves when I encounter severe issues with the channels that can’t be fixed from the board.
Churches in the US are really crazy 😅 over here in Europe the average church systems are a couple of condenser-mics, an auto-mixer and some small 100V speakers.
question. whats ur buffer size for superrack performer ? also what laptop specs u use for that ? ive been doin it on x32 with 96buffersize n turns out the latency is just too much for monitoring especialy iem, tried to measure it out with smart n turns out that the latency of 96buffersize is around 11-12 ms without any single plugin inserted.tried to add some plugins like q6 n waves tune real time n it become more than 15ms of latency.
@@DCAVL No worries brother, it’s Chicago. “Taking voting rights and killin’ our kids in the streets”? 😂 I’m sure you know, there are laws against preachers having tax exempt status and espousing political views from the pulpit. Doesn’t seem to matter much here. Love your stuff, appreciate your mixing tips immensely. Have a great night!
Make sure you’re taking a mono source out of the piano, just because you’re only taking left doesn’t mean you’re getting 100% of the signal you need from him.
Awesome tip thanks! I have not tried to run them with DMX yet. I plan on hooking them up tonight after we finish a install. Thanks for watching! Would you use them at a show?
@@DCAVL I would not use them in a mobile environment. The mirror is way too fragile. But in an install. they are still nice, if the room is not the biggest.
