If you’re not sure about the length of your slip over, try it on with something you might wear it with, such as a top underneath or the proper bottoms to get a better sense of where the rib will be. Love your videos! Happy knitting 🧶
Yess tried it on today on one of my pants I wear a lot to get a better idea. Just started knitting on the ribbing (also because I don't have a lot of yarn left)
I like to block my sweaters before I put the hem, so that I can get a better idea of the length and width when blocked. It eliminates any surprises. Gorgeous sweaters!
love your videos! your knitting is beautiful and very inspiring. I will be adding the Cloud to my list of projects to make and looking forward to seeing The Moby pullover finished. Thanks for taking us along on your week and your music and filming is fantastic. Sending a big happy knitting to you from California. Today is my knitting group and I will share your RU-vid link for everyone to meet and watch you.
Hi Kimberly. I like your vlogstyle video's! Just a tip, when you block the moby slipover and you stretch it widthwise it will shorten lenghtwise. Maybe a tip to knit it a bit longer than you initially think is needed. Als je begrijpt wat ik bedoel ;-) Groetjes! Maaike
Oh my Amsterdam looks enchanting ❤ such a great vlog, your cat steals the show 😂 Decided I definitely need a Moby slipover, it’s coming into autumn in Australia
What’s the main song that you play in your video? It’s so beautiful. I love watching your day to day clips…..my parents are Dutch and so the Netherlands holds a special place in my heart. So glad I found you ❤
Thankyou! the songs are listed in the video description, so you could check that out :) And very nice to hear that our small little country has a special place in your heart
Patty Lyons has a trick to make the transition from stockinette to ribbing smoother and that minimizes rolling. I can’t remember it, but it’s on her website or easily accessible by searching. I’m guessing that your sweater wasn’t that dirty, but wondering if it’s spinning oil left on the yarn ? Your knits are lovely! Jeanette in Wisconsin US
ohh definitely going to check that out so I can implement that trick in my next projects. And about the dirty yarn, maybe it's indeed the spinning oil because it was very dirty and can't imagine that is just from me carrying the balls of yarn around in my project bag. Thank you for watching!
My projects that I have knitted barely have pilling, but the snefnug does shed a lot in the beginning. So with black clothing you have to take in mind that you will be covered in fluff haha. But after a while it stops.
