GIRL! you should be using the Tombow Dual Brush pens. I have different tones of greys that I use as highlighters and it is so aesthetically pleasing! You could even use a combo of pastel colours that match your google calendar
I plan by using a combination of digital and print. I keep my Google calendar up to date (work schedule, special events, etc) which is loosely color coded on my home-screen of my phone. Then I also keep a bullet journal, which is really just bound book of lists- this is where write all of my to-do, grocery, and packing lists, school related items, and pretty much anything else I want to write down. It works for me because I only have to check two places and one of them often reminds me of events automatically!
I can’t live without highlighters in my planner. I color code: yellow-me; pink-me and my daughter; orange-daughter; green-finances; blue-work. I hope you’re enjoying your winter. Looking forward to some cozy videos from this sauna I’m in.
I found out that those postnotes stick better to the wall when you unstick them not from the bottom to top but from one side to the other. They stop bending that much.
I am a planning junkie :) I have been using the bullet journal since Ryder Carroll's book was released. It is working for me b/c I keep it simple. I am excited to try different styles of planning. Thanks for the video! Love watching people plan.
I also don’t like the aesthetic of highlighters in diaries as it is gaudy and glaring in the book. However zebra mildliners have a much softer colour which I think you’ll love. Check them out. Also I use a minimalist bullet journal method with a section for events for the day and a to do list part of the day, I also have an electronic calendar as well. I can send you pics of the minimalist bullet journal if you’d like for an idea
Check out the Mildliner Double Ended Brush Pens. The colors may be more of your taste. But you have to lay down the color first and then write on top of it.
I exactly know how you are feeling about planning during studying 😁 Until now, it totally has been my year. Maybe you can try the Pilot Friction pencils. They write really nicely and you can remove them by friction. They have some sort of liner, fineliner, markers and even in pretty pastel colors! Maybe these pencils will suite you :)
I have a work diary and a work notebook that has my to do lists in it and ideas. For home, I have a Kikki k family calendar and a notebook for to do lists . ❤️
I know this is super random but I love that your an Aussie RU-vidr ..whenmost American youtubers talk about places, they are shops I don’t really know but when you talk about going to shops certain shops, they are shops that I actually know 😂😂😜 Love your Videos Rachel
Do you ever get confused with how many notebooks you've got going and where you put notes/idea? I know you have notebooks by category, but I get overwhelmed with where I have stuff...notebooks, evernote, keep, etc.
I DON'T THINK you should cancel the HIGHLIGHTERS all together, you can USE them to represent one day of the week in order for each color of the RAINBOW like you like, to give it that small splash of color in your planner. You can highlight just the really important or ergant things per day so that way it can give it some life.
My BEST years seem to fall on years ending with 8.. OR years where my age includes an 8.. Sounds incredibly strange but that is the way that it has been working out 🤷♀️ 😀
Try the stabilo pastel highlighters, I was like you and started with the bright ones and thought they looked awful but the pastel ones look so much nicer! Xx
I’ve been so addicted to watching your channel! I’ve downloaded so many of your videos and liked every single video I’ve watched! I love you so much, you’re such an inspiration to me 🖤🥰
This is me when I buy a planner: - be excited - open the planner and realize that I bought it too late because I had a full week until yesterday and now I have nothing to do for 3 months straight - throw it somewhere until it is useful again but then forget about it and never use it And I swear I try, and I Iove having a planner but I have no motivation when I have very few things to do. It just seems useless :(
I kept rubbing my glasses clean thinking I couldnt focus until you said the journal was blurred lol. I feel so dumb. Also i do free planning, its similar to bullet journaling but instead of the layouts I just do basic daily tasks in basically list form. Mariana’s Study Corner has a few videos on it from last year.
You should try the HAPPY PLANNER OMG so functional it’s a disc bound system you can add in filler paper have different sections defiantly shop around planner community because I feel like that’s exactly what you need also I use google calendar and good for keep amazinggggggg
What’s your favorite stationary? Favorite pens? Highlights? Notebooks? I would LOVE to see a video on that ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜 Edit: I have a few more video ideas if you would like them: 1. Stationary Shopping 2. What I eat in a day 3. Beginner doodles/drawings Also, maybe you could get a ‘Create This Book” (that’s the name), you can draw, create (obviously) and do many other things. Just some thoughts, love your channel 🖤
I like Google keep with Google calendar. That way you always have your notes with you & don't need to carry around bulky diaries. I enjoy your videos. Thanks!
rachel... i dont know if they have it in australia... but i live in the US and recently i bought pilot frixion highlighter 5 pack. They are erasable-good if you suddenly hate how things look ;)- and pastel colored♡ i think they sell regular neon colored ones too. maybe u can check on amazon♡♡♡
I use a diary but I write it down/draw it on a blank notebook. I don't really have a method now, just like you I got lost by the end of the school semester haha but I fond this very inspiring go back to planning.
Hey Rachel, have you tried pastel highlighters? They just look so cohesive whichever which way you use them in your diary! Thanks for your inspiring videos 💛🌼😊
I'm not used to planning my week. Altought I do write down a studying plan at the end of the semester. That way I don't stress about the time I have for each subject
Would love to see a vid on how you use all of your planning tools and what categories of life go into which too. :) I struggle living between the digital and analogue world in that way.
i also struggle with the idea of messy planning in my diary, and often move tasks around a lot when i can’t fill them in on certain days. do you think you may benefit from possibly using a whiteboard in your desk area to help solve this problem? 😊
