Bonjour! As a young French photographer, it's truly inspiring to witness the creative process of other artists. The dedication, passion, and skill that goes into producing beautiful and meaningful images is something that I deeply admire. I wanted to take a moment to thank you for sharing your work with the world - your quality and sensitivity are evident in every piece you create. Your art has not only moved me, but has also inspired me to continue pursuing my own photography journey. Merci beaucoup and keep going ! 🙏✨

Quite strange to watch you taking pictures and filming places I know. I was looking forward to this video to see what pictures you would take of the city I live in. Your eye is amazing. I loved these 12 minutes. It's great that you want to continue to document more of your photo experiences like this !

It’s interesting how you’ve mentioned after a week you start to slow down and try to focus on shooting different things. I’ve been in Japan for over a month now and things are starting to get repetitive. Commuters walking to work and home, people riding bikes, kids going to school, etc. I know you can try and shoot things from a different perspective but it still feels a bit mundane. For me as a street photographer, I’m always hoping to find interesting and unique interactions amongst themselves. And that right there is not easy. It takes so much time and patience. I’m sure you understand what I’m saying. I’m going to be here for about 90 days total. I hope to find some new inspirations because it’s mentally difficult at the point. Watching other photographers like you on RU-vid and going over other photo books definitely helps. Good luck in Paris. If you can give me any tips then I would be grateful.

Hey Faizal, I just gotta say that you're doing it different than anyone else right now and I really believe you deserve a lot more recognition for the art you create is photos AND your videos. The feeling of life I get from your videos isn't something that I don't get anywhere else and it's truly amazing what you're doing. I'm always looking forward to your new work and it always inspires me to get out there and do more myself.

This is such a great video! Being a local, it's so inspiring to see how you've captured Paris, both in video and photography. I was having trouble finding new inspiration as I know these streets so much, and your video was just what I needed, so thank you so much for sharing it! PS: it was a pleasure meeting you in the streets of Paris!

Hi Faizal, do you use the 35mm for video as well or just stills? I love how you focus on details, i need to that more often

Really great story telling in not only your photos, but in your videos as well. I like how you allow the viewer to linger upon the scene and not cut away too quick. Also, your use of framing and reflections create really impactful images, something I need to do more in my street images. I think your headed in the right direction and just looking at the videos made after this one, you added more videos that I'm excited to dive into. Paris has always been on my list to visit, hopefully some day.

Wow these shots are incredible man, I haven't really seen anything like this before, truly amazing. I've recently picked up a fuji x100v so I'm going to buy your course to learn more about my camera. I'm also looking to pick up one of your analog preset packs, which one should I buy if I want to get the exact same styled black and white you had for most of the shots in this video? Thanks bro.

I'm a long time subscriber and love what you do, so while I appreciate you want to keep the channel fresh with new and absorbing content, but if I could throw in my 2 cents worth.. don't stray too far from the yellow brick road, the Emerald City is not such a bad place.. as I say, just my take for what it's worth!

Hey Faizal, wonderful video (as always!). As a long time Parisian, now living abroad for some years, your video is making a very important point that is the elephant in the room. An irresistible photo is not about something that everybody already sees. No one cares about seeing a new photo of the Tour Eiffel, the Sacré Coeur or any other famous landmarks of Paris. If I want good touristy pictures, I buy a Lonely Planet guide, a National Geographic issue or a coffee-table book. When travelling, every camera owner unfortunately wants to prove that they're there ("hey I'm in Paris, could you believe it?"), and not that they're living the moment there. Your photos and the experience you share here (and in so many your exquisite videos) are a strong case of what it means to actually be a photographer, and not a camera owner. Long life to your channel!

I saw your video and how you wandered in the true Marrakech ! You want the same feeling in Paris ? Try the 18-19-20-10 th districts ! The North East districts are amazing for street photography ! More diversity, social mix, less touristy, really something else than the Marais !

Just a thought to consider… a lot of your photos here could have been taken in ANY city. I don’t think it was necessary to incur the expense of visiting Paris to capture them. Perhaps they could be more distinctively Parisian?. Just a thought.

Good MOrning. Les Marais is the heart of the historic Jewish Quarter. Nearby is the Jewish Museum and the Picasso Museum. Must see stops if you have the time. The Beaubourg area by the Pompidou is worth experiencing for people watching. There is a Banksy art piece on an overhead sign at the corner of the Pompidou just before you cross the street. Having spent months in Paris, I can picture a week would make one’s head spin because there is so much. If possible, going into the Louvre when it opens is the best way to experience the museum. Most likely you do not have the time, but a train ride to Fountainbleau is well worth it. It is about 45 minutes south of Paris. Ok, I could write a book for you of which streets to walk, cafes to visit, etc. Enjoy Faizal. Regards…Wayne

If you want to practice your french after this trip , you should come to see us in Montréal during the summer season, you will find the "french touch" again in North America near your home. Enjoy ! The Marais is a good starting point, but I would recommend you go up to Paris' North. Try the area around Belleville and the Parc des Buttes Chaumont - absolutely mandatory point of the city! - then walk a bit more in direction of the Canal de l'Ourcq and to the Parc de la Villette. This was the area I lived in for three years and I think you're really going to love it!
