It was a very interesting week for diesel rail traction in Twyford, with multiple railtours and unusual rail activity taking place. We weren't able to see all of it, but here is a selection of what we were able to see. Simon says "my favourite of the diesels was the class 37."
Locos featured in this video
Class 47 D1924 - Crewe Diesel Depot on a rail tour (and again coming back)
57603 - Tintagel Castle
57602 - Restormel Castle (on either end of the Night Riviera)
47828 in lovely Intercity livery
Class 37 D6817 with support coach on a positioning move
57313 - Scarborough Castle
57601 - Windsor Castle (on either end of the Northern Belle running to Ascot)
Plus a selection class 66s on freight workings.
What an exciting week for diesel enthusiasts!
