I live in Switzerland, but lived in Cardiff during my PhD. Being a bird's fan Skomer was my personal highlight of visiting birds (that must have been around 2005). There's nothing like this little island. You bring back quite some merories to me.

Oh my goodness they are just TOO ADORABLE those PUFFINS and how they came up to your show and was picking at it, NO FEAR at all, lol what a great experience ! Great video Danielle, very informative and comical in places, nice choice of music and clips. I have thought about doing bts videos, but I'm too camera shy and think I could be quite boring. What camera set up did you use for vlogging the trip if I may ask, as I have a 700D as extra camera. carrying 2 large dslrs can be a bit tricky haha.
Thanks so much Sam! I tried to make it humorous but it was hard not to seem real cringy haha. I used my Iphone for vlogging. All the the non wildlife clips are filmed on my phone! As long as you have a good story, you don't need lots of fancy gear!
@@DaniConnorWild Hi Dani, I read the question & your answer. I don't do or ever tried videoing with a camera but you must have a very good Iphone camera as your videos are high quality.
Dani, wonderful to see. I go and of June on a photography trip to Iceland and go to Drangey eiland for the puffins. I hope i can take lovely pictures of them. Greetings from the Netherlands.

I love it Thank You! I was born and bred here in Wales (Aberystwyth). I've sailed past these set of islands many times (Ramsey, Skomer Skokholm etc...) but never set foot on the islands themselves so this is a great insight! :)
Great video and a great place. Luckily I live in Pembrokeshire so Skomer is on my doorstep, hope restrictions are lifted so I can get out there this year.
When I was a teenager we stayed in Pembroke and spent a magical day on Skomer with the Puffin's. Wonderful to see it again. It was the beginning of my love affair with Puffin's. Lovely film
