@phyliciajoykloes my army freind lives in England he's still in army.but for years he's been saying come to my village meet mother sisters ect,but with videos like urs I see now I'm not gonna be stuck in the serengetti lol and can actually stay in a nice hotel with good food.to be honest I've got a thing being built there he's got house and I said we'll make me like a studio apartment at the end of the compound so I wana go see that.he built house for his mother as well but his is in the holiday part near city so I'm excited to go now.
Thank you for a lovely video, of course as a visitor one can only see the bright side of things in this beautiful little gem of a country. I very much apologize for playing party spoilers, but truth be told, not everything is shiny and rosy in Gambia. Even though Gambia is a beautiful little country, its people are generally friendly, peaceful, tolerant and hospitable, but the problem in truth is not the people but the people currently leading this nation. They are bone-marrow corrupt, have no respect for the mandate given them by the people, are abusing the system to the point where now the economy is facing a very precarious situation that could well endanger the very livelihoods of almost every single Gambian. With the negative economic forecast, the national currency is depreciating as a rapid rate, now more than ever. Salaries are stagnant while the leadership, their cronies and elites keep spending lavishly as if there was no tomorrow. Now that the Senegalese Army begins to ponder withdrawing from Gambia altogether, the very stability of this nation is being brought up to the surface once again hence, is Gambia capable of staying stable without Senegal and to some extent the Ecomig force? If not, will Gambia go back to military coups again and re-enter another dark episode like the 22 years of the Jammeh dictatorship? Gambia truly deserves to live in peace and under the ceiling of the law and good governance, alas with this current very corrupt Barrow regime that wish remains elusive if not challenged downright. I wish the very best for Gambia but at heart I worry a lot.
