I just came across your videos on RU-vid, and have started watching several of them. I was just in Edinburgh in April for about 10 days. I've been to Scotland four times now, since 2001. My last two trips were the longest, about two weeks. But, this last one was absolutely the best! It hurt my soul to leave, and once I got home I decided that I wanted to make the move. So, I've been doing as much online research, and finding videos of those that've made the move, to get as much help/recommendations/advice etc. that I can get. Unfortunately, most information that I've gathered hasn't been overly encouraging. As a US citizen living in San Diego, California, I understand the complexities of a person wanting to move and work in the United States that's not a citizen. I'm finding those difficulties are mirrored in the UK. With the ways the laws are set up regarding Work Visas, it makes it quite difficult to get one. But, I keep hoping, and researching, and getting thoughts and advice from others. I found your video on the struggles of finding a flat very informative. I'd been told by locals that can be a challenge, due to false advertisements and scammers. I was hoping to find out how you got work, but it seems you're a writer. That's awesome! I tried that a few years back. I wrote a few books and even had one published. But, unfortunately, I was never very successful. So, I moved on. I still write and do creative things, like drawing, for fun. I'll keep watching your videos, and hopefully get more tips that may help in my dream and endeavor, to move to Scotland. All my best!

Arbroath is my hometown! Honestly, I'm not a big fan of Arbroath, I couldn't wait to move away xD But I'm glad you had a good time there :)
