Love love love listening to the excitement & support while cheering on Makenzie & Eddie in their runs. Also love & appreciate seeing you balance REAL LIFE and your running, training, career. Absolutely adore you Sally!
I just want to say that your joy for others is infectious, Sally! I used to have your energy and enthusiasm for life and people but over time I have found myself hardened by the challenges and setbacks that life has brought me....I have really been missing the old me lately, the one that wasn't bitter, disillusioned, or crushed by the actions of others. You remind me that I can still be that person that gets excited about big and small things, that loudly cheers for herself and others, that doesn't hold herself back from fully embracing all that life has to offer, and that I can love big and love loud without fear. Sally and Eddie, I hope you BOTH know how impactful you have been to my life. Thank you!
Congratulations Eddie 🙂👍. LA Marathon is a big one, and you finished ✅🏃♂️. Just think, only about 5 more miles and you would have pretty much done a (50k)… Ultra Marathon possibilities in the near future 😃🏃♂️👍. Husband and Wife team 👍
There is nothing like a first marathon finish! Cheering and seeing Eddie finish made me tear! You guys continue to motivate😂i have run out of excuses to not get stuff done
I love that you have your western state motivation staring at you on that treadmill! Thank you for encouraging us all to choose strong and work towards our goals. 💛
I’m currently pregnant with twins, I’m in my first trimester and got a little scare a week ago, so my doctor recommended to stop my training for a little bit. My goal was to run the Mexico City marathon by the end of the summer but I stopped running when my longest run was 26k. Watching this video made me so emotional because I miss running so much, and lifting but I feel so hopeful seeing you and your beautiful family make the most out of this busy, wonderful messy life. I know I will run my first marathon next year. It’d be the Chicago marathon as I’m moving back home, for now I’ll live vicariously through your videos! Congrats to Eddy on such a great accomplishment 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
Just ordered one of the new hats. I too am a parent, she's now 34! As they get older the time fly's faster, wish it worked that way with running. Your kids are lucky to have you as parents.
I loved this so much. See all the support Eddie got and him finishing strong brought tears to my eyes. I have the Big Sur marathon next weekend and this helped motivate me! I need a cheer squad like that though. So amazing!! 💛 great job Eddie!!🎉
"A lion doesn't concern himself with the opinion of sheep" LOVE that quote! I try to live by that every day. You're such an inspiration. Thank you for all you do! :D
You and your family are awesome. My wife has been so inspired by you and your journey. She is now on the journey of back yard Ultras, as well as others up to 100 mile distance. Her strength both in mind and body has grown since we started watching you all. Me, I am only crew, the small part of the whole gearbox and engine. It is so difficult trying to purchase your apparels tho as you are that BIG in the running world. Keep up the hard work as we follow your journey whilst on our own. Take care all. Gary and Kathy
Love this! Being present as a family and supporting each other’s goals. Watching Eddie run, endure and finish his first Marathon brought joy to my face and I don’t even know you guys or have run over 10miles. Great job to the entire family!
Awww i love this FAMILY so much and all their amazing friends and support! You guys truly ROCK…if you don’t know the McRae’s WAKE UP!!! GOALS that’s all i have to say GOALS!!
Thanks for the pep talk near the end, the “it’s ok if life’s messy”. That is an awesome validation. I’m gonna borrow that for my students and patients. Thanks for sharing all you do.
Yeah Eddie !! And Sally being such a good cheer leader ! New to the running game, but just keep putting one foot in front of another, thank you for your positive vibes. I wanted to know if the DTW muscle T has big arm holes ? Cant see any of the side views of the garment.
I really appreciate your youtube videos and podcasts. Your words have really encouraged me at moments when I needed it most. I love the motto choose strong. I want to show some appreciation so I ordered a black hat, I'm sure it will come when I need it. Plus I think it will look cool with my lime green sunshirt 😊
Sallyyy! I just ran the Boston marathon then 4 days later ran the SLC marathon. Can I just share I saw both your yellow hat worn and muscle shirt at both races! What a joy to see you influence soo many people. Thank you!
Man I needed to hear that 🙌 Thank you so much for letting us into your lives Sally , you’re a incredible inspiration for mums . I have a big running goal ahead and your videos are helping me so much 🩷
Ahhh congratulations!! Eddie you are So amazing to accomplish such an incredible goal. And you two are beyond amazing the way you support and Celebrate your kids. Loved every second of this video. Thanks so much for sharing
I appreciated this video and love the inspiration I get from your chennel and podcast. Enjoyed watching Eddie run/finish his marathon! I'm from the boomer generation and I feel like I'm a 40 year old stuck in a 60-something year old body - ha. I'm currently doing a training plan for a 5K in June (run/walk or 'Jeffing'). Hope to be able to run most but not all of the 5K. Later aspirations include a 1/2M late in the year and really hopeful for doing a 50K next year. Thanks, you guys!
Wahoo! Congratulations to the entire family. So awesome to see how you all cheer each other on, warms my heart! FYI, my first marathon goal was also to beat my husband’s first, the Chicago Marathon many years earlier, and I did!
Congrats Eddie!!! I looked at when you finished LA - it was my first marathon too (I was 24), same year (2003), and I finished 4:26 😂 so we were probably running near each other. Back when it started/finished downtown and also started later in the morning. I need to run LA again, with the new course.
I can’t help but notice the Amazon yellow light indicating a notification in the background 🤣 heck it matches the yellow runner right! (Mine is always blinking too)
Great vid! But as a trail runner, did anyone else notice the amount of WASTE on the ground from cups :( I hope in the near future m'thons can find a way to eliminate or reduce that. But congrats to Eddie on an amazing race!
