Tony Rolando, Robert Aiki Aubrey Lowe & Richard Devine talk synth at a recent seminar at the Make Noise factory in Asheville, NC. More of my Make Noise videos here experimentalsynth.com/index.ph...
Geniuses. Tony Rolando is the coolest nerd ever. He’s like a more rad Johnny Knoxville. Devine is just a genius synthesis and musician. I’ve just gotten my first Make Noise stuff recently, and they make such incredible stuff.
they're all such creative people in their own area: Robert and Richard are sound alchemists (each one in his own way) while Tony is a great and innovative synth builder. too bad I live in Italy and I can't take part to such great events! thank you for giving me the possibility to see/hear them :)
I'm moderately surprised that no one mentioned Subotnick's use of multitracked voice/envelope followers as a modular controller. Either way, great video with a panel of brilliant people.
Each new module can add a whole level of abstraction to the system. It's funny to hear people talk about internal or external controllers because using the voice, or a Wacom tablet, is like adding a module.
Hello, cann anyone explain how to use a 225h & 226h Buchla module properly " in action" and any example of its capabilities? there´s no any information rather than those three raw pages of the "Allegedly Manual "; i think they should show a bit more how to use their products since its not an easy thing and its a bit more complex than most eurorack´s. ANy comment is highly appreciated. (^_^)v. BTW: unfortunately are Buchla h Series modules the ones that are not very well explained or described in action.
