AHA! A true trail cook! I saw those amazing Northern Lights on RU-vid's Wild Beare. She was out in Wales that night. Toby is a fine and calm dog, even in high wind conditions.
Thanks, James! Yes, I enjoy a bit of cooking on the winter camps to pass by time in the tent. I'll have to have a look at her video of the Aurora. Thanks for watching. ATB, Ryan.
flippin heck ows buddy. im so glad youre doing this. youve always been passionate about the outdoors. really enjoying watching these videos mate. keep going with it fella. i really hope this works out for you. top bloke ry
Another cracking video buddy FairPlay keep them coming 🙏🏻 Toby is the most laid back and placid dog in all the videos he’s a star in his own right lol.. congratulations on the 1K subs well deserved buddy and too many more 👏
Glad you are feeling better, another awesome camp 🏕️ 👍🫶 Toby is a fantastic friend to you, you are so good together, just enjoy watching all your footage 👌 Your food looked so delicious your a great chef 😉 I don’t know much about you tube, but I do know that I enjoy watching your channel 🫶👍 Looking forward to your next one 🙌😁
Thanks again for the kind words, it's very much appreciated. He's a top boy, we're lucky to have him. I'm glad you're enjoying the channel. Diolch, Ryan 🙂
Subbed a week ago or so. Like your channel. Why go anywhere else when you’ve got the beautiful Welsh countryside on your doorstep. I’m over in Gloucestershire, so not far away. I love my hikes over the national parks in Wales. 😊
Congratulations Ryan! So happy with you!! We like the tid bits of information and the history of the area you're camping in. So sorry about all that rain. At this moment we have bout 2 inches of snow! And still more to come. The tulips have already satrted to bud! Thank you for sharing your day with us!!
Subscriber number 10, Congratulation for getting to 1k subs quickly 👍 Can;t help you with youtube algorithms, But I think you need a pee bottle in your kit 👌 Cracking video again and great camp spot might have to nick that one 😂and of course I will leave no trace ATB 😉
Hello John, I've got one on order for my hike, it's not much fun peeing in sideways rain at 2am. I figured out the watch hours, they're still there, so panic over on that one. You're welcome to the spot, mate...it's a cracking location. Thanks, mate.
@@wildaboutwales Cheers Ryan, Thanks for asking, I know the location👍 (never camped there) . i've also got a spot West of Herberts quarry that i use when I'm pushed for time no more than 3oo meters from the car 😉What you might call a lazy camp 😂😉
Great to see you back! The camp was fab to tag along on, you have some stunning scenery. Both your and Toby's dinners looked amazing; it was cool hearing you chat about why you started the channel and am happy to have been an early adopter! It would be interesting to know more about how you learned your skills and found your joy in camping. Looking forward to next time! As for the intricacies of you tube, it could be worth contacting Andy of Kent Survival channel. He has been on for about 8 years and seems like a top bloke.
Thank you, Amanda! Nice idea, I will keep that in mind and maybe chat about it in a future video. I watch his videos, he's great. I've figured it out now, I still have my watch hours...panic over 😂
Good to see the final video, great location as well. Love Brecon but not been out that way so thats on the list one day now. I'm also going to try that curry for me and my lad one night 😊. My labradors wouldn't have been so patient waiting for their dinner mind you 😅😅😅 Cheers as well for the milestone subs.
Thank you, Chris! The Western Beacons is a great area of the park, very wild and remote, definitely worth a visit, mate. The curry is worth a try too 😉
Another great video ,congratulations on the 1000 subs, camped there befor the weather can really batter the tent all over that area, toby looked really content after his food,i knew i recognised that conifer there is another up there aswell
Thank you, mate! I've only ever come across this one, but I've yet to explore some areas of the Western edges. Yes, I've noticed the weather's always a bit more brutal on the Black Mountain, I had a hiding pitched on the edge of Picws Du once, thought I was going to get blown off 😂
Now that is some serious cooking, if only I could smell it but looked bloody good. Congrats on 1k subscribers. Couple more weeks you be on 2k. Your killing it. I got close to the watch hours needed but I stopped going out. What table is that your using? Looks good. Another cracking video bud
Im from Wales in the Rhondda area and just bought myself a new tent as needed to so I went for the Vern 1 new and cant wait to get out there but busy at the moment. Anyway all the best to u 👍
@@wildaboutwales i'm just over the top from you in Maerdy, I really don't mind the rain or any weather but needing the next day to be fine to dry the tent out, if the next day is dry I will leave the tent dry out before coming home as I not got much room here to dry it out so its a bit awkward and they recon there is more rain coming into night and into tomorrow as I was thinking of going today but cancelled, I will go up around Maerdy top res area, Llan etc, and as i'm into astro landscape photography I can get about and camp up where needing to its a great pastime... And no probs about watching ATB and keep up the good work.
@@darkshaman7087 yes, I've been struggling the day after the camps as well, I've got a kit room, but drying the tent out is a problem. I haven't been up Maerdy Res for years, I camped there a lot once upon a time. Anyway, I hope it dries out for you and have yourself a good camp.
@@wildaboutwales tats is the drawback is drying the tent and I don't really want it draped over the banisters for days dripping over the stairs haha, but I don't mind it raining over the school hols now as keep the kids indoors and not to noisy about haha... Its nice up the res and used to fly fish up there years ago and fished it from a young age, there is a few nice pitching spots about here as many quarry areas but must make sure no loose rocks above also the lido up by res ain't a bad spot except for walkers... Anyway cheers, take care mate 👍
Loved the vid, very relaxing. Good food, two Whiskies (better than one), doggy and rain on the tent, brilliant. Amazing what you said about the Red Kite. Thanks for sharing and congratulations on hitting 1000 subs. Serk
I spotted one of those cans in Tesco just now, so grabbed one plus a selection of others. Got a Triple Fruited Mango open right now, which is more like fruit juice with an aftertaste of beer. Really nice.
I enjoyed that one from that camp. Have you tried the Northern Monk? They're really nice, the chocolate fudge brownie one is my favourite, it's got a good kick to it as well.
Your videos are so enjoyable to watch. I like the cooking segment with all the fresh ingredients and the little treat you give yourself with the whisky and cake. Toby seems like a lovely dog and is very well cared for. I have only just discovered your channel, I watched the bothy one first and I'm slowly working my way through the rest. You deserve the 1,000 subscribers.
Cracking vid ,we used to stay at Llangorse lake when we went to the beacons but it’s not doggo friendly so we head to north wales now ,,would love to go back ,,Toby is awesome your so lucky to have him . Looking forward to your next trip out ,
Thank you, Toby. Yes, he's one of a kind, we're lucky to have him. North Wales is great, I'm hoping to do some camps there in the summer. Thanks for watching, mate.
Congratulations on the amount of subs, keep up the good work, I no a place near there also abit of a secret location ha havnt taken a liking to bourbon but one bourbon I wanna try is the Elijah Craig , atb nick 👍
Another lovely camp with my cuppa! When's Roving Ryan's recipe book out?? Looked lush! Toby enjoyed his grub too.. didn't look so happy dipping out of a can or whisky though! Diolch Ryan and Toby, iechyd da🏴
Tobie's thinks he's driving home tonight 👍 more comments the better 👍 I love you and your boy getting out together I lost my boy last week and I'm totally gutted life will never be the same without out him. Make sure you look after him 👍
Great campout, Ryan! That curry looked stellar! I was salivating while you cooked it. Toby looks to be a great companion. When you said sausages, my dog head lifted up and looked at me , his face was priceless! He still wondering where his are ! Ha! Keep up the great videos.
Very enjoyable, thanks for sharing. I was supposed to have an evening off drinking but seeing your whisky made me join you with a well known blended Scotch on the rocks. Keep them coming.
Another fantastic video Ryan! Having only recently discovered your channel, plenty of content to catch up on! Love them, even giving me inspiration to get back out hiking!
Great stuff, well done 👍. Lovely video, another fantastic piece of content, I’ve watched all the videos so far, keep up the good work. Btw: Toby is a very lucky dog, he eats very well indeed! Congratulations on hitting over 1000 subscribers. 👏👍💪🥾🥃🏴
Cracking video Ryan black mountains is an incredible place I’ve never camped there but have hiked it. That curry looks banging fair play and Toby the handsome boy seemed happy with his food bless him.ATB 👍🏻
