Thanks for the video, I've just come across your site on youtube and it looks like a great combination of outdoor videos and good technical information. I'm a hunter and land owner in Minnesota, USA and enjoy watching a good video especially since it's -20F outside ( -30C ) looking forward to watching more.

Being a kiwi that moved to Australia, one goal in life became to shoot a fox. I got permission to hunt on some prime country in the Deep Water region and learned to blow a Tenterfield call. The first fox I ever called in, came in behind me, whoofed and took off. I never got that one! The first one I shot came in perfect and I dropped it with my.17 HMR at about 25 yards with a chest shot. A beautiful big dog with a lovely winter coat. Every fox to me is a trophy. I know they devastate our native birds but I like them a lot and feel a bit of remorse every time I shoot one. By the way, the call with the rubber band as a reed is just as good as effective as the Tenterfield IMO and much easier to learn to use.

Thats the way Steve, nice footage there I have one of the T2's as well, went out one afternoon on our place there is a den up the back with a vixen and 3 kits in it, caught them on trail cam but they weren't interested give it another go soon.

i like the combination idea. can you choose which goes first? ie i probably would have preferred the 12 gauge at that distance. if they refuse to come in, then switch to 243. just curious.

Great video what size chamber does the 12g have? Why use a reduced load on the 243? Would love to get a combo gun like that but very rare here in Ireland
