No one can beat the original,Lea Salonga A legendary Disney princess who sung 2 disney song for disney and Brad kanes magical low voice, and when you combine it it always bring you to "a whole new world" plus the song won oscar too
The aladdins sound close to the same. I love the new live action! And the original! Has anyone heard the song called Speechless? Thats song is SOOOOO AMAZING!!!!!
I wish they kept more scenes from the original like when he grabs a flower and gives it to her and when at the end they see both their reflection in the water before they kiss. Also when they made it to China and he is about to tell her the truth, but I absolutely loved Will Smith as the Genie and the new ending of the story and how the Genie finds love too.
A Whole New World is one of my favorite Disney songs! While the 1992 version is a classic, the 2019 is as beautifully brought to life as the classic did!
I like the new version of the song when the girl sings it but Aladdin just talking his lines clashes so hard with her putting her heart and soul into the song.
Singing wise I line more Meena and Naomi version, but scene wise more the 1992 one. It has more elements that adds to the magic, seeing Egypt and China for instance. I know it would’ve looked unrealistic in the remake but still I wanted them to visit those places
I disagree. In my opinion the old Jasmine was a much more independent role model for kids to look up too. She didn't need a song to tell people she's independent, because she showed it through her actions. That's one of the most important things with movies, they should show us instead of telling us.
2019 one is more powerful because of Naomi’s belts while 1992 is more beautiful and sweet and there’s still no way you can travel the whole world in just a god damn night
Katelyn M That’s why the real life action makes more sense and besides in this version she loves her kingdom a lot more so of course she’d want to see her kingdom and her people
@@AlvinaYunoa it would make more sense in real life. Yeah in real life if flying carpets were real yeah you can't travel the world in just one night it's not pissible, so if we are talking real yeah it would make more sense. But like I said Aladdin is originally a cartoon so they could travel the world in just one night and that's why they had the song "A whole new world" so that song makes more sense in the animated movie so he could show her the whole world, Jasmine in both versions loved her kingdom, but Aladdin wanted to show her the world so that's what he did. It didnt have to make sense but it's the mortal of the song.
Its depends the both are so good, in the 1992 are more animation like the princes touch the horses, etc. But in the 2019 the place are better for me looks more magic and beautiful
With all honesty I expected the 2019 version to flop but it was amazing I call it a half draw cause the original is always the classic one and 2019 wasn't that bad at all Naomi was powerful as Jasmine and I was impressed Mena did good as Aladdin but the original stays with me forever but I liked both but I call it a draw by the minimum
The original 1992 version is way better than the new version and I'm going to explain why. In the original story princess jasmine wanted to get out of the palace, make friends and enjoy some freedom she was not allowed to do because she was a princess. When she took a chance and escaped the palace she ran into trouble due to her lack of understanding of life outside the palace and Aladdin came to her rescue and then ended up bonding over the course of the day. He shows her the view of the palace and she tells him that she doesn't have the freedom to really enjoy herself and she is lonely to the point where she feels trapped. It's then that they are interrupted by the guards that arrest Aladdin on the orders of jafar. She goes to confront him only to be told that he was executed by beheading for kidnapping her and she was left devastated by the news that the only person who she was able to connect with was killed because she had escaped from the palace. Now fast forward and she finds out that another prince has arrived by the name of prince Ali and she is still reeling from the devastating news from earlier and she wants nothing to do with him. This is until he tried to get raja to back down, removes his head gear and exposes the rest of his head that she starts to recognise him. She later tries to probe him with questions to find out whether he is the same person who she met at the market place or just another prince who is after her as a prize. He nervously goes along and tries to impress her with what ever answers he thinks she wants to hear only to disappoint her and she asks him to leave, not caring how he came or how he leaves. He then says that she's right and that says something that she has repeatedly been saying for a while, turns around and is going to jump off the balcony. It's at that moment when she realises that she may have misjudged him and tries to stop him. It's only then that she finds out that he has a magic carpet and offers to take her with him on a ride. She is at first hesitant due to a strong sense of uncertainty and her previous experience when she escaped from the palace. It's then that 'prince Ali' says something that Aladdin stated a few scenes earlier, 'do you trust me?' It's then that she gets more confirmation that the man who is in front of her is the same man she met earlier but still can't quite explain why or how. It's then that she loses the grief that she was under and decides to take a leap of faith. When he offers her a chance to go for a ride it's not simply to impress her with something superficial. It's to give her something that she has desired for so long and was never allowed to do, get out of the palace, enjoy some freedom and bond with someone else. He does it because he knows that deep down that is what she has always wanted and she ends up getting that and much more than she could have imagined. Also in the sequence he does a trick with the apple in Ancient Greece that is exactly the same trick that Aladdin did in his home with jasmine which further confirms that prince Ali is the same man she met earlier and that not only is he alive but he has come back. She's over joyed over the revelation and she finally embraces him. She still tries one last time to find out what is going on by testing him again. When he gives his answer it's the one that probably made the most sense under the circumstances to her and he also says something that she could relate to and realises that she has finally met someone who understands her at a very deep level that she then starts to fall in love. The new version completely changes not only the elements of the story but also a lot of the character elements that when it came to do the 'whole new world' sequence it has none of the emotional impact of that the animated movie that it comes across as forced in comparison.
I like the new one more. Mena Massoud has a sweeter voice to me. I am looking forward to the new one being on blu-ray so I can get both versions and watch them back to back. I'm going to do the same with The Lion King
Couldnt even hear the original versions of Aladdin and Jasmine singing, but then again Mena and Aladdin sound a like in this song, Aladdin's singing voice is just a bit higher though. The remake of it is so amazing and Beautifully done, but I will always love the original version of the song, nothing tops Lea and Brad and Aladdin is just so hot in that scene even though hes hot though out the movie lol
I just wanna say that I like them both but even though it's animated you can just see that this poor street rat actually feeling shit for this princess😍 like when Jasmine started singing about unbelievable sights Alladin was like "let me take a breather this girl is just amazing" and he's just adoring her every chance he gets😊 the voice actors did a wonderful job putting in so much emotions, the live action is fine but they're not acting like they're on a MAGIC CARPET😑 I can't feel All's emotions for Jas and Jas just sounds like she's singing in a booth or something no emotions or anything not even a lil stutter to make it more real😑 shit like that should happen in a live action😗☕
Yeah, animated Jasmine sells the "soaring, tumbling, freewheeling" line as if she is indeed going through all of those event. The Live action Jasmine, while decent, does not convey the same expression as the animated version does.
I would say in the 2019 version, Jasmines voice is more big and full than the 1992. The 1992 version is amazing and they're voices mix better than 2019 but in the 2019 version, their voices still mix not as far off as the original. I honestly kind of like the 2019 version a bit more bc it brings back nostalgia for one and they're voice are a bit better. This is just my opinion and I respect all of your guys opinions.
