An introduction to the Work Ready Programme, which is the ECITB’s collaborative and co-funded initiative developed to create a pipeline of new entrants across the engineering construction industry.
Attendees, who are 18+ and include the long-term unemployed, gain recognised industry skills and qualifications as part of a programme that lasts up to 16 weeks. The programme is interspersed with work placements and site visits and on successful completion leads to employment opportunities.
The programme is a partnership between the Engineering Construction Industry Training Board (ECITB), employers, training providers, the Department of Work and Pensions and local partners.
