We are back on Oak Island!! Today happened to be a VERY BAD DAY for a drone to fly! It was VERY windy on the south shore of Nova Scotia today, and I nearly lost my drone filming this footage!
There was a lot going on, on the island though today. There was a lot of the crew there setting up for this busy season of filming for the season 9 of The Curse of Oak Island. There wasn't much going on at all down by the money pit side of the island though.
The next time I visit the island I will be checking to make sure the wind is at a lower speed! I am hoping to return next week if the weather holds up! I will be crossing my fingers for the fellowship of the dig to be there and out and about!
Enjoy,
Jerr

Thankyou!!!! I truly appreciate the sneak peek to the season. The winds were very strong last weekend. Glad the drone survived. Thanks from Fall River.

Hey Jerrs. A great video would be if you could get to Oak Island at sunrise on the Summer Solstice, start behind Little Mash aim your drone due east and fly over ROUND Island then over Oak Island towards the sunrise.......:-)

Thank you for the video I’m hooked on the mystery of what went on up there.

These are beautiful aerial images of the island. Superb! Now For those who are interested in the mystery, I announce that it is possible to assemble all the pieces of the puzzle in a coherent and historically justified way. For this I invite you to read carefully the extensive scientific report that demonstrate that the "Money pit" is just a grave and we can say with near certainty who is buried there. I can't write a link in the comments here but just search on the website researchgate for the following title: “Treasure hunt on Oak island: on the tracks of a French Knight of the Order of Malta.”

I read your note above. Glad that your drone was unscathed. Excellent video! Great shots of Round Island. I had previously researched that little sliver of an island that is just west of Round Island that is next to the mainland and it is called "Little Mash Island. It is shown on my marine nautical chart 4381 that I purchased but the island is too small to be labeled. I read somewhere long ago that Little Mash Island quite possibly was connected to whatever was occurring on Oak Island many, many centuries ago. Sea levels in Mahone Bay would have been much lower many centuries ago so Little Mash Island would have been much larger and possibly connected to the mainland! I saw on the News down here that the COVID-19 Variant situation in and around Halifax was bad. It's the same down here in Ontario. I hope things have improved up there so that a Season 9 can occur. Did you see that round table discussion Special with Matty Blake? I really admire Mr. Marty Lagina because he is an engineer and has the same college/university education that I do. An engineering education/degree does not solely teach you "how" to do things like an engineering technologist. A person studying to be an engineer has to take TONS of core subjects that teaches him/her to think things out and to ask questions such as "why" instead of "how". An engineer has to think analytically, be aware of his/her surroundings and problem-solve. That is the difference and is why I really like Marty Lagina and Craig Tester. They are old-school degreed engineers and ask the pertinent questions regarding Oak Island and search strategies. On that Special with Matty Blake, if you paid close attention when Marty Lagina was talking about the silver that was detected from the borehole, note that he IMMEDIATELY referred to "religious artifacts" and made no mention of pirate treasure or anything of the like. Marty has a pretty good idea of what Oak Island is all about and he chooses his words carefully, but he let it slip on this Special about "religious artifacts". When Craig Tester stated that the piece of finished wood they found in the swamp was dated and verified to be from the 600's, that just verified what I have been saying for two decades now that the Oak Island mystery is ANCIENT--- probably dating back at least two thousand years because the symbols on the "missing" 90-foot stone, which I'm sure are genuine by virtue of the 1948 publication which contained them, were of the Tifinagh alphabet which would fit that ancient timeline. A lot of the stuff/artifacts they are now discovering since 2019 are from the various visits, pilgrimages and incursions made to Oak Island over the past two millennium by different peoples and I believe most of those "visits" were made because of what is entombed deep underground in the Money Pit via the cavern(s). Sorry this got so lengthy! --- John

Great content and information in your comment. Thank you! I agree with you that there is great ANCIENT treasure/religious artifacts buried on Oak Island.

@@deboralevensailor9772 Thank you for your reply. To further expound, I have believed ever since the late-1990's when the Geological Survey of Canada did all their research up at Oak Island/Mahone Bay with the Canadian research vessel, "Plover", that Oak Island is the final resting place of "someone"... that Oak Island contains an ancient tomb of someone very significant in history. I believe that the "tomb" was placed there, NOT from above into the Money Pit, but from "below" via cave/niche openings at the shoreline leading to the underground caverns when the sea level was much lower. The Money Pit, a deep open natural sinkhole, was then backfilled with the securely-fastened oak log platforms every ten feet to evenly distribute the weight of the earth so as to not crush what was buried and concealed below. It is basic civil engineering!..... The sea level surrounding Oak Island, according to the Geologcal Survey of Canada, is rising at the rate of 30 centimetres (12 inches) every one hundred years. Therefore, those cave/cavern openings at the shoreline would have been above the mean high water line in ancient times and the underground cavern(s) would have been high and dry--- the perfect hiding place to put something of value. Unfortunately, it is now all underwater and inaccessible.... that is, until Marty Lagina and Craig Tester figure out how to do the "Big Dig" and successfully seal off the water/tidal flow from the Atlantic Ocean! It will be a pure feat of mining and marine engineering if they can pull it off! We can only hope! --- John

Why did the pilgrimages stop? Was it a small group of people? Did word slip out but not all facts, leading to people speculating treasure? Someone suspected or heard something i doubt 3 boys just seen a light and started digging
@johnwoa
@johnwoa 3 года назад
@@michaelobrien5537 The "pilgrimages" or visits didn't stop. They continued up to the early-1700's by the British, the French, privateers, etc.... Keep in mind, that the Halifax area/region was settled approximately 50 years before the Money Pit was discovered and Oak Island was platted into lots around 1760. With the Industrial Revolution, of course the visits would not be like the ones that occurred at Oak Island back in the 12th century up to the 1600's.
