A windy wild camp in the Simonside Hills, Northumberland with the Nordisk Telemark tent

A beautiful night to be out camping but had to descend my intended camp spot, Garleigh Hill, Rothbury, because of a slightly ferocious wind. Sought a bit of shelter in Lordenshaw Hillfort before choosing to pitch the Nordisk Telemark in a more sheltered spot. I'm still terrible at filming nightlapses- any tips gratefully received. At least I found my Gopro batteries and finally tried out my titanium chopsticks. And whats with the rhubarb? what is going on the the rhubarb!?

Thanks Mark, I had a rewatch myself after your comment and I remember really enjoying doing that camp. It is a good little area to explore. Hillforts, crags, rock art. ATB, Graham 👍

Nice camp there Graham mate😄 That Pad Thai meal is lush, have you tried the Thai red curry one? That’s my favourite it’s got a lovely kick. Winner on finding your batteries! I watched your ‘how not to hammock’ vid earlier as well😂 Brilliant haha. Cheers mate👍🏻 Mark

Great little camp there graham Nice to see you on the noodles and prawns I am watching this up Harwood having just had my noodles on a stump ! Really windy up here You have give me a new ditch to bivy in !that fort looks ideal and so close to the car ! Might have to have a quick bivy trip with you one day Keep em coming

@@grahamswildcamping I should have brought the magic carpet tonight as it’s so windy for the 3x 3 ! Might just bivy without it as no rain forecast I was so ready for the midge attack I have a tent, a bug net, a head net several hats lol and it’s so windy I am safe lol

Nice one Graham, enjoyed that. Good to see you cooking instead of using the exped foods....you should have popped the rhubarb in as well lol. Aye it's been mad windy lately - we binned a hill camp last night in favour of valley shelter. Nice timelapse on the camp set-up. TFS :)
