Awesome day on the river! Well done! I miss fishing that stream. I have a photo from '87 when I'm 17 holding a 14 or 15 inch brown just like the first one you landed. Same hump back and everything. Many those fish are healthy. So cool to see!
In Colorado, never call the weather until you are there! My best times in the outdoors have always started out looking sketchy weather wise. Great video of an awesome day on the water. 👍
@@CombatFlyFishing love your content! I’ve hit so many of these same spots (but not nearly as successfully as you do). Really is a great escape and feels like I’m living it again when I watch your videos. Even found some new spots! Keep it up and maybe I’ll run into you out on the water sometime 👍
This was an excellent video man. I am sub #234. Wonderful job fly fishing and some absolute tanks of fish, with a nice variety. Look forward to more stuff. It has inspired me to want to get out there and film one of my own. Keep it up!
That was a slow day for you;) just curious, on a day like that what % are you sightfishing and what % are you just fishing the likely runs? keep those videos coming, but people should keep in mind there is a healthy learning curse to the DS and for many newbies it is a nightmare stream.
It depends on the water clarity but I enjoy sight fishing the most. On that day, I think I was sight fishing to the majority of the fish I caught. -Tim
I fished the dream stream before it was called the Dream stream, it was way more of a challenge back 40 + yrs ago, fish were actually wild. I and some friends back in the day, had to be stealthy, we usually got one opportunity in a hole to catch a fish, otherwise it became impossible to catch any fish. I fished with Joe Butler and he would say the same thing as I am. I speak for a lot of natives, it too bad that so many people have moved here.
Ben Strickland it all depends on depth and the swiftness of the run I’m fishing, but a BB for 100 cfs on the Dream Stream is a good general weight to use.
I know about Cheeseman but where would this access be to this section of the river? Plans to go this summer with my wife and kids and this part looks a little easier for my kids to get to with me. Thanks in advance. Awesome videos
