She died in 310AD. Amazing it survived after so much time. Imagine Jesus was alive just 300+ yrs before her. A saint in Egypt must have been tough.. Africa had saints going back to 3rd century and Ireland is 5th century.. Asia i think was 17th century. Thanks for sharing ur post.

Hello, forgive me, but I'm unworthy to speak of my experiences to you. But as someone who is still not a Catechumen, and yet convinced in my heart that the Orthodox Church is the True Church, and desiring conversion, and not able to as of now because of personal reasons, perhaps I'm able to tell my experience. Please, I ask of you, please don't take what I say as something that is authoritative, it is merely the words of a sinner that is trying to be a Good Christian. I would say, that what I do, is that the same way that I was you counter hunger by eating that which was beneficial for you, so also I quench that yearning by filling myself with the Teachings of the Orthodox Church, and of the Actions of the Saints, of the Church Fathers, and Mothers. Even if I'm not "oficially" part of the Orthodox Church, I'm still trying my best to at least be a good Orthodox Christian. This is what we should be worrying about. To just be a Good Christian. Do not be hasty, neither slothful. If you fell that you are not making any progress, this is the problem, that you are relying on feelings. Our Faith is not built on feelings, but on Christ. I don't know if I'm anywhere near God, or I'm utterly far away from Him, but this is not what should be focusing on, we should focus only on Christ Himself. If we are near God, focus on Him, if we are far away from Him, focus on Him. Those who focus on God, and only God, will never be lost. So, I ask you, brother, let us not worry about what we feel, rather, we should only focus on that which is beneficial for us, "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law." (Galatians 3:22-23). Let us not be hasty, neither slothful. Let us not despair that we are still aparrently not making any progress. We are called to struggle. And in whatever we do, do it all for God. Let us be active in our Christian Faith. Do not be too hasty. Neither slothful. Always be active. May you always keep growing in the Faith, even if we fall (though we do not fall, for in Christ, we only stumble, but we do not fall). May you grow into a Good Man and a Good Christian. Whatever you do, may you do it all for the Glory of God.May you stay safe and strong out there. May you take care of yourself, and others, as much as you can. I pray whatever happens to you, may you fight the Good Fight and keep the Faith. God Bless you. Lord Jesus Christ, Son of God, have Mercy upon us, sinners.

I'm not worthy to give you an advice, my brother in humanity, but it is just a suggestion. It's for the sake of salvation of your soul to take yourself away out of the idolatry surroundings and join a group of believers and integrate with them fully, and that should be out of your own freewill and calling upon our almighty God to help you for knock and it will be opened, he stands already waiting for you. He is mercy, compassionate and loving kindness and is very near to you. He seeks every one of his creatures who is ready to accept him as a lord and saviour. God is always a good shepered. Because she didn't, proof about her existence simply doesn't exist. The fact there are so many detailes proves it's false

@@perun2647 Then how come there are so many books about her and even though there are people that claim she didn't "exist" there is an actual evidence that she did actually existed. Her body was founded by the elders and they transformed her and her own relics in the officially Sacred Autonomous Royal Monastery of Saint Katherine of the Holy and God-Trodden Mount Sinai. They even founded her ring on her finder.

Most of the details of St. Catherine's life come from the Synaxarion of the Church, an ancient book where information about saints was gathered around the sixth century and continued until today.
