Hello, thanks for the great video again! 👍 Can I ask if the screw holes for the mounts that come with these cameras are the same as the ones in the S330 (EufyCam 3)? I already have the mounts from the S330 camera installed and was wondering if I could just use these mounts to attach this camera to? or if I would need to remove the S330 mounts and install the new mounts elsewhere? Thank you in advanced! 🙂
Hey let me get back to you on this one since I mounted the cameras, so I'll have to get back on the ladder when the weather clears up, but I'm 90% sure it's the same thread mount size.
@@DemCrumblies Thank you! 🙂Sorry for being a pain! Just wondered if I do end up swapping over to these if I would need to start drilling new holes in my house 😂
@25:30 So either one that's plugged in will give it 24/7 recording as in the included usb solar panel too, or will you get 24/7 recording if it's only plugged in to an outlet?
It will only give you access to the 24/7 mode if it's plugged into an outlet. Plugging it into the solar panel won't enable 24/7. I still have to test it out though because when I made this video, 24/7 recording still wasn't available as a feature yet. I'll update my comments when I try it out though to confirm it works.
I ordered the 4 pack for the S3 Pros. but want to run them powered. I’ve read they can be powered however I can’t find which power cable I need to accomplish this. Any recommendations?
Hey @websterj1842, congratulations on the purchase. They can be powered with a USB C cable, but I didn't see an official USB C cable for sale from eufy yet because the cable would need to have a weather sealing lip to prevent moisture from getting into the USB C port. I think later when 24/7 recording is officially supported, they might sell a compatible cable at that time. If you don't want to wait, you can buy a standard USB C cable, then use some sort of caulking material to seal the area around the USB C port, but this will make it difficult later to remove the cable if it ever gets damaged and would likely void your warranty, so it's better to wait I think until eufy sells their own cable, which will have the same connector end as the cable on the solar panel.
@@omniiomega Yep that's it! Mine has gotten a little bit rusty after surviving a few rainstorms and Winter ice storms, but everything still articulates without issue, so I still plan on using it.
@@edndomotique9556 Yep that should be possible since you can set up group control of multiple eufy cameras. I haven't tried it yet personally because I'm still on the beta version of the eufy app when I tested this system before public release, but later I will switch back to the public eufy app and test it out, but I see options under the security modes to have other cameras listed.
Hey I'm still on the beta/test version of the eufy app I was using since I tested it before official launch and I don't see it on there, but I will try to confirm with eufy within the next 1 or 2 days about if it's out yet and add the cameras and homebase back to the public version of the app next week.
