We've owned the Trek Roscoe 7 for a year now. Happy Birthday to it. So is it still worth owning? Hang out for a few while we talk about it and you decide. Thanks for watching.

Really good review. Most videos usually only talk about the first ride so you dont know how the bike will stand up to a years use. Also most videos tell you to upgrade everything on the bike so only the frame is original Might as well buy a new bike 😄 I plan to buy the Rosco 7 in a months time and feel confident the bike is reliable and needs minimal maintenance

Lol thanks. You can certainly buy one and beat it up pretty good before you need to add or upgrade. Just get yourself some decent pedals because those stock ones really are terrible. Lol

Thank you. It's really is a great bike to ride. Just ordered new tires for it. Maxxis Assegai for the front and a minion for the rear.

I’m glad I waited until they were on sale. I just picked up the Roscoe 9 for $1800. It was $1999.99 and they stacked my military discount on top so it was only $1799.99 which was a steal considering the spec

awesome deal. The Roscoes are really great bikes. I love my 7 and Jack really enjoys his last gen 6. They are just solid.

LMAO we must think alike because i went with the Range Gen 3 bar too... Did your paint scrape off when you were installing your controls? Man that got me upset!

Yeah it did a little bit. I was like ugh. Then I figured I crash enough it'll just get banged off anyway. Lol I was much more careful with Gigis install. Lol

Nice presentation, I also owe a Trek Roscoe 7 2023 Size L and I'm about 178 cm tall, I find the size a little to big for me. My upper back section is hurting after a longer ride, or maybe I simply have a wrong position. Just curiouse, what Size is your bike and how tall are you? :)

I bought a M/L and I'm 172cm and I find that it's a touch large. I should've probably gotten a medium but when I bought it this the only one in the store of the teal colorway. Lol. Gigis Ripmo in medium is a much better fit. I did buy the PNW range bar which has a little higher rise and that has helped, so maybe look into that. I'm sure the stem could also be shortened a bit but I haven't tried that yet. . It's a great bike. Absolutely love riding it.

Couldn’t agree more. I’m 6 foot two with shoes on and the bike shop insisted I get a large and not a medium large. And I just feel very hunched over on this. I’m definitely going to be adding a higher rise bar to it this year.

@ChazMichaelMike yeah check out the PNW bar it seemed to be just enough for me. Somewhere around here I did a video about it going on the Roscoe and also Gigis Ripmos got one too.

What’s your inseam? I’m 182cm, 34” inseam, I’ve got long arms and legs too so I’m looking to get a Large Roscoe

Mine is I think 2022 technically. The Roscoe 7 hasn't changed in a couple years. Trek did upgrade the 6 to be the same frame as the 7 with different components for 2024.

Hi! I own the same but the black one, 2021 model line It uses SRAM SX Eagle system and I better prefer your stock Deore transmission. It is Deore XT 12speed? And what about tires, my Roscoe uses Maxxis Rekon+ 27,5 x 2,8 and this is great I’m about to change the shifter to SRAM GX and look for more powerful brakes (Shimano 8100) Have a nice ride!

It's not XT Deore but it still works fantastic. I do want to upgrade to an XT shifter though.

Same with the one my wife has, bought in Montreal Quebec... We got her a SRAM GX shifter & derailleur kept the rest, also a very expensive Cane Creek Helm but because I made a mistake I ordered a 27.5 helm for my 29" trance final sale because the price was very good (600$) not even looking if it was the right size...

@@eightwheeladventures 27.5 parts are very cheap right now, I guess the industry is moving away but for shorter people like my wife 29" is way too big, anyway we'll start to stack up on tires and wheels for her trek the price is right, right now 😜

Yeah the 27.5 parts are much cheaper. We have been keeping an eye out for a good price on a fork for the Roscoe 6. Although we may sell that bike to fund another full suspension and give Jack the Roscoe 7. Kinda up in the air on it.

Kako bi bilo da se stave uže gume na roscoe naprimjer 2.4 promjera dali bi se to isplatilo jer planiram ga voziti i na dalje staze naravno šumske i po makadamu . Unaprijed hvala i veliki pozdrav

You could certainly put 2.4in wide tires on it. That would be a great width for that kind of riding.

It's a great all around bike. Uphill downhill wherever you want to ride it.

Ahhh yes. Most things that are done in this channel are "we" which is myself, my wife, and 2 kids. Even if it looks like it's just me, they are all involved somehow. So lots is "we"
