It was a stretch of bad luck. One failure due to using old tech, the other had bad luck and the other because it was a new rocket design which had flaws

It's unsettling to know that the clock is ticking down until a catastrophical failure occurs, and that the more time you spend up there, the bigger the chances for a close encounter of the *worst* kind. Borrowed time, and all that.

Space x has came a long way, of course nasa as well. All astronauts are hero’s because they sacrifice so much for science. What they did being up there for a year has provided us with so much information.. especially on what space does to their bodies. They will suffer from being up there so long. They have provided information on what we can do to help our bodies stay more healthy in space and finding ways to keep the radiation at lower levels. We are so close to mars and so close to living in space. We owe these people who dedicate them selfs to science. Thank you for everything

"...and so close to living in space..." ----??? This is all interesting only from the point of view of abstract science. But the true benefits of this "exploration" of space is not present, in my opinion. Its rate is negligible, in contrast to the rate of decline in resources and the rate of climate change . Now it is quite obvious that humanity will not be able , or rather - will not have time to come up with a way to find a planet equivalent to the Earth, and safely move there. Unfortunately, the Earth and human civilization will disappear faster than it will be possible to implement.

I am absolutely NOT a flattard, but I do have a question. How is the ISS filmed? I saw the footage of the docking, it wasn't quite the same,even though they did see the ISS from that angle. Is there another satellite close to ISS? Where can I find the answer?

The remote footage of ISS is usually made from arriving ships. There is no satellite in proximity

multiple docking ports and windows that can be filmed from. I think we saw the underside as they docked in the last video, then the shots this time were from a departing or docking craft looking "down" towards earth. Id imagine that a departing craft would distance itself from the space station to avoid any blow back when firing its engines, hold there for a short time then begin a burn back to earth once its sitting in a correct trajectory path.

Camera on the Canada arm is one option, there are several others. The shots with the entire ISS in frame are likely from Soyuz pre or post docking.

Tony Hyeok that was not space debris... that was a star timelaps. The space debris would have been much faster... one would not be able to see it. But it’s a good scene for the show I guess. 😊

Blowing up things in orbit is problematic because it would just create a cloud of smaller pieces. Which is just as dangerous. Stuff blowing up or being blown up intentionally is responsible for a lot of the debris that's already up there.

None of them were from NASA. The first was an Antares/Cygnus from Orbital ATK, the second was a Progress from Roscosmos, and the third was a Falcon 9/Dragon from SpaceX.

Augford P. Doggie yeah we don't know what the problem is that caused the rockets to explode. Maybe one area that pumps propellant into the booster areas failed, maybe the liquid oxygen leaked out to much. But as Chris Hadfield has said, when your in a rocket, your constantly thinking about what could possibly kill you next. And considering that humans are constantly in space now on the ISS I wouldn't say the tech in inferior, not only that. But do you know how far away the moon is? And how short a time that astronauts stayed there?

you can't fake zero gravity in real time for over an hour straight. I work in VFX and it's easy to differentiate. It would cost more to fake it for hundreds of years. Plus, if you think the earth is flat, you have to then not believe in one bit of science. That's exactly how Christianity works - screw all your science because it 'says so in my bible'.
