I can't believe I am saying this but your point is crystal clear. And I can easily relate to this. The community as a whole has this sort of black and white and simplistic view on GoAnimate Grounded, which really hurts this trend as a whole. My 13 year old self really got into those things. And for the better, it did allow me to see the creative potential of the characters in general, like with Zack A. Rosemond. I loved the ZACK franchise characters not only because they are a part of grounded videos? But I loved them because they are relatable in some ways. And it is something I really need to push forward on in future videos. I had SO MANY ideas in the mixture that I still want to bring out there. But for the worse, it only created enemies that NEVER wanted change and do shit against me and other creators. Look absolutely no further than louielouie95 of all people. He got so hissy over creative decisions that are more in line with the official Zack series from 2011-2012. Then again, I sometimes question myself if I blew his Ericina character out of proportion. Because...let me be fair. I made a grounded series out of her through one word: revenge. To get payback for the poor creative decisions that he still keeps propagating to this day. Though to be fair, Ericina was a character that is created only as a weapon and as a fetish. Idk how I would feel about Ericina when I watch his videos again but that is my stance. And sadly, I am not in good terms with the guy. That said, I am on your side regarding Caillou and Dora. They may not be the greatest characters out there but even the entire Internet is blowing this out of proportion. Granted, some of the reasons are justifiable. Still though. I'm surprised that you did call quits on GoAnimate Grounded and all of everything. Personally, I might plan to quit after my next four grounded series based on the ZACK franchise and future films.
I could not agree with you more. I was also brainwashed (mostly at least) at 13 when I first discovered those videos and it made me believe that those characters are evil.
I discovered Vyond videos in late 2019, and got hooked on Grounded videos myself, but I quickly got tired of them because I slowly came to the realization that they revolved around the same repetitive plot. Thought I am aware that in 2021, when I started my Vyond series "The Reapers", the older episodes had repetitive plots. Mainly because I was lazy, and was working with Vyond Free Trials at the time. Then I started putting more effort in my videos, and coming up with new plots. Eventually I managed to get a Vyond subscription, too. And honestly? I'm so happy to see that my series has aged well with the newer episodes.
0:52 well you're not the only one Andrew, back in 2020, when i reacted/coped with something unfair i used these phrases as my comeback and thinking i had the capacity of doing what the characters did in those videos, i used thse phrases to my family and Friends, thankfully i did not use them on random people, but i did not only use the phrases heard in Grounded videos but also used the phrases heard in drama situations like for example "that's opinion bashing i can like/hate (Thing) if i want because it's my opinion" "Handle (Thing)" and even the "More like" phrase mostly heard in rant videos, but then in late 2021 i was getting tired of those phrases so i stopped saying them and realized i was kinda silly for doing that.
I can relate to this. When I became a teenager and started watching grounded videos in 2017, I got interested in GoAnimate. I didn't do what the characters did in the videos in real life, but I started to think that they were leading me down a bad path, so I stopped doing grounded videos. It's time we move on. I don't recall how long it's been since I've made a grounded video, but I believe it's been over a year. I'd rather work on movies and other projects that interest me than grounded videos.
Here’s something I’ve noticing kind of weird that went to a switcharoo in our vyond community (I’m talking about the vyonders like crimson, Abinhav, Robbie The Legend, Glyris, etc) but not you, Gabe, Conner, Johuan and others you decided to crew up with, before the creators were good and the troublemakers were bad (obviously) but from looking from 2023-2024, the creators have been in the opposite direction, which has now made the former troublemakers become peacemakers.
As for me? Well, I started to discover a lot about Vyond and how it used to be known for their grounded videos back in 2020 (when covid was around). But while I used to be okay with some of them back then, right now I've been more focused in making my own story lines and I even watch ore original series made by other users.
I have to admit I used to be in the same position as you when I thought Caillou and Dora were bad people at age 11, when I hopped on the trend and started making grounded videos. However, it wasn’t until age 12 where I started to lose my motivation of making those godawful videos, with the Flash themes being removed in the process in January 2016. That was when I realised these videos were not even worth it once I turned 13 and started to make videos other than VYOND in general by 2017, primarily because of the so called “Cartoon Police Groups”, opinion bashers, trolls and a myriad of other things that made VYOND the toxic wasteland of grounded videos in the 2010s. Overall, I’m glad you spoke out and told yourself why you felt like moving on from grounded videos! Have a great day, Andrew! :)
1:02 LMAOOO, I kinda see everything that you were in, let me tell ya somethinw, it also went for me as well, cuz I was in the same position too, I would also do these things too, and it kind of went to the wrong direction for me, and what I meant for wrong direction, was I would also say these phrases too and say to family, relatives, friends, and others, and they were not the ones into it and didn’t like it, so I also didn’t want to watch grounded anymore, and want to move on
Hey Andrew, you're not alone. I, like you, binge watched grounded videos when I starting tuning into GoAnimate/Vyond in late 2015/16*^. And tbh, the majority of them are just too graphic for me to watch. Therefore, I don't watch these kinds of episodes any more and even if I do, I only watch it once and move on from it. I think it's a very smart decision that you're officially done with grounded videos as it's really detrimental to your health and reputation.
I also announced my retirement from Grounded Videos in early 2023 (Even though I only made 2 GD Videos beforehand & didn't make anymore afterwards) While I did use to enjoy watching these videos back in 2019 when I was 12 at the time, I was kinda obsessed with them up until 2021-2022 as I slowly lost interest in making grounded videos before officially renouncing that kind of content on my channel. I feel like I did myself a favor moving on from those kinds of videos and make other kinds of content with actual story telling rather than characters doing bad things and getting grounded. It does get repetitive after a while.
If I'm being honest, I got addicted to them back in late 2015 before the whole "incident" that took place in january 2016 .I at first thought we were driven to believe troublemakers that are also minors and cartoon characters and ocs in general and people that are adults very evil. I went back to rewatching grounded videos with that very same belief in late 2019. But now that i'm seeing how the hate on them and how they got portrayed in those videos went a little (and in some cases, WAY) too far and how outdated and repetive grounded videos got, I lost my motivation in watching them.
That "incident" that you're referring to in January of 2016 shouldn't even have made out to be an "incident". People should have just accepted the change and move on. But then again, I was one of those people upset about the change, so I probably shouldn't be talking.
@@andrewanimations2305 I dont blame you. Sometimes people can handle those changes and some people don't, thats how the january 2016 change was. I was not involved in that drama back then but I will say this. For people to just hate on a ceo for removing stuff that was correctly considered copyright and just avoiding lawsuits by respective owners of those themes and then making grounded/hate/attack videos out of the ceo (alvin hung at the time) was definetly uncalled for.
Grounded videos also contain some inappropriate material, like destroying a restaurant for example. Which is also not good for children to be watching.
Back in the old days when I was 7 or 8 years old which is on 2016, 2017 or 2018, I started to gain interest on grounded videos by different GoAnimators and Vyonders from the Vyond Community before it started to began toxic. But now until then, my opinion on grounded videos as of February 2024, those types of videos from the Vyond Community which includes: ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 1. Grounded for Nothing Videos: These types of videos are getting bland and overrated nowadays in my opinion. They just constantly ground their child for something that they didn't do. That's just stupid for parents to ground their own child for something that they did not do anything wrong. 2. Grounded for Stupid Reasons: Normally, parents in real life don't ground their child just because they are watching a show, movie, and more things that they like to do. I understand that parents did not want bad things for their child. They still cannot ground their child if they committed a minor mistake. 3. Many Amounts of Grounding Times: These trends annoy me a lot whenever I watch them: They just keep saying "Grounded" over the same time over and over again. It can really annoy people whenever they watch these types of videos that contain so many amounts of saying the word "Grounded" many times. 4. Ridiculous Amounts on how many durations is their own child grounded for: Normally, whenever parents ground their child for a reason that they did super bad, they don't ground their own child for long and long period amount of time on how long their child has been grounded for. 5. Ungrounded Videos: Parents do not just unground their child for something that they did something good. Even if they get rewarded whenever their own child gets good grades at school, or anything that they do something what they are supposed to do. 6. And finally! Someone says, "Good or a Bad Thing" and Then Gets Grounded: Usually, it's their own opinion on what they exactly like or not. Parents cannot just ground their own child just because the creator hates or likes about any show, movie, and more. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ So yeah, I stopped making grounded videos as of February or March of 2024 because I found these types of videos on RU-vid and the Vyond Community is just getting bland and overrated nowadays in my opinion. I now make more original ideas on my content whenever I am making Vyond Videos in the future on my channel. But I don't mind if people like grounded videos or not. But like I already said in my opinion on Vyond Grounded Videos, I don't like these types of videos.

Well, I’m just glad that I eventually realized how bad it was. Some people sadly never did realize this and many contributed to it as well. But like you said I would have never known who you were if we didn’t have a common interest at one time.

@@BrianFan7650 If I'm being honest with you and everyone else here, I never hated Caillou growing up (except when I binge watched all those grounded videos out of him). Surprising, isn't it? I know lots of people detest him for coming off as a brat and bad example, but I quite simply wasn't bothered by him. And besides, not ALL of the show was bad. Seasons 4 and 5 showed a pretty mature side to him, which I'm glad the writers were able to do!

Agreed. I enjoy making Grounded Videos. I started My 1st GoAnimate video back on 2018. And My 1st GoAnimate video Is Ahmet Kutay's Sonic Gets sent bed Early. Man. I like Watching GoAnimate Videos, Including your Grounded Videos. I also Tried Vyond Studio back on december 2019 since the Original Vyond Legacy Video Maker was retired. I used Comedy World and Lil Peepz in Vyond Studio back on 2019 and 2021. But for now, i started to make Vyond Videos with Business Friendly Theme, since are few updates for Vyond.
I was only 11 when I started watching grounded videos back in 2014. It all started with two Little Bill Gets Grounded videos, one killing his teacher, and one calling his new baby cousin stupid. Later on, I would start to watch even more grounded videos, including Caillou (or as people refer him as Kayloo) and Dora (both are the main victims). I have come to realize that grounded videos out of baby show characters or whatever characters are made to bash opinions, and grounded videos out of other users condone cyberbullying (yet people find other ways to make cyberbullying videos and posts out of other users such as nutshell videos). Getting grounded for nothing is just ludicrous. Also, getting grounded for liking something your parents hate or doing stuff like going to places or running away, or for getting a simple math problem wrong, that's just completely stupid. Plus, grounded videos such as dead meat or held back videos or whatever do not make any sense whatsoever. Well, no grounded video makes any sense. And literally, some people would make a grounded video out of some individual just for killing a terrorist responsible for the 9/11 attacks (like WTF?!). I know BrandontheMovieGuy (now Brandon's Movie Corner) did that in the past, but he disowned all his grounded videos because they were just stupid and immature. Getting grounded just for watching a movie rated PG-13 or R (even NC-17) is just stupid. I do admit I like PG-13 and R rated movies, but I don't even make grounded videos like that. Plus bringing a movie rated R or NC-17 at school, how the hell does that even make any sense. As much as I hate Caillou and Dora, I do not make any grounded videos out of those two characters. Well, no individual grounded video for that matter. Even if I do make them, it would not just be the troublemaker, non-troublemakers too. Some episodes in my series will have some of my characters getting grounded however. I actually wanted to make some grounded videos in the past just to bash opinions on baby shows I hate, but nowadays, I take under consideration and just focus on my own content. And plus, execution videos, what the hell even gives those individuals that idea? Punishment day videos, my god they are just stupid. The punishments the perpetrators render to the victim are just violent. There are literally some people who still make grounded videos, and some of them I find cringe. For example, Childish Dad (I really hate that series, same goes for Entitled Karen). I saw some videos like that and they are just ridiculous. It's impossible for a grown-ass adult to get grounded. SML (god not this channel, I hate Logan nowadays). Mario (or now Marvin) always grounds Jeffy for the dumbest reasons as well. Honestly, people who bash people's opinions who hate grounded videos are just selfish and obstinate. Sending out grounded threats never works either. I may watch some grounded videos like Jordan, Rachael, and The Porter Twins, but those videos have a lack of effort. Plus I do watch Oh Shiitake Mushrooms videos where Kid Temper Tantrum does get grounded. Most of the time, I hear people who make grounded videos are confirmed to be pedophiles, child abusers, racist fucks, etc. My god, there are literally some people who do not even know their limits nowadays. I know my limits, and the mainstream community is just at this point getting worse, as it was always a hostile community even ever since before 2014.
I've discovered grounded videos when 2017 came along. I thought to myself that those are the funniest types of videos that i like, but boy was i wrong. These videos are just downright horrible, that i'd rather make a proper grounded video without any shenanigans added into it.
I used to do grounded videos when I started my GoAnimate career in 2015. The ones I made were my most hated characters such as Pingu, Cars 2 villains, Dave the Octopus from Penguins of Madagascar movie, and other villains from movies and shows just like you having a hatred towards Lou to make grounded videos out of him. Until I realized that grounded videos were getting repetitive when I made the grounded for nothing ones in 2016. Then later in 2016, I call it quits to make grounded videos because they are too repetitive especially the nothing ones. It only lasted a year for me. Btw, are you planning to make any non-grounded video Vyond content any time soon?
That's my point about Lou. Yes he is a villain, and yes he was a jerk in the movie, but if you dig deeper, you can kind of see why he acts the way he acts (not saying it's right).

The grounded videos I like are well written ones done by truly bad characters and if they do something that’s worth getting grounded for. Your Violy videos were an example. I’m not a fan of grounded videos out of Caillou or Dora. They got stale very quickly. I like the fake lockdown ones but otherwise, most grounded videos out of baby show characters and for stupid things such as having nightmares or grounding the world are very dull.
